DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is the record-setting Broadway sensation which features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, as this sparkling production breathes new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. Don't miss what The New York Times calls "AN EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE! 100 times better than any bedtime story."
so funny! had us laughing the whole time and we are all in our 20-60s. they did an amazing job and the actor who played the grinch was unbelievable.
What a wonderful musical it was lots of WHO’s from Whoville and An Awesome Grinch whose heart grew 10 inches or two!!
I was so excited to see this play! Until I did. I was disappointed and underwhelmed. I've seen 10 other plays in NY and LA, his one takes second to last place for me. I'm just glad my kids liked it. The actors did a great job, but the play itself was just lacking something.
The security check in process was fast, so that was great! the building is beautiful! they have some beautiful red stairs and the ceiling is gorgeous. the concession stand sold some good hot chocolate with a souvenir cup included for $7. but the snacks could’ve been better. the show itself was really good! it was funny, and they had some good songs. the actors were very talented. We are happy that we went!
It was very good and followed the story. Good acting and singing. Costumes for most part were great!! Only things that bothered my friends and myself - Grinch's face didn't look like the book. It shouldn't have been hard to do. And dog was brown (or all one color) in books and animated cartoon and so dog costumes were wrong. But overall - fun and entertaining.
We thoroughly enjoyed The Grinch! The talented cast was amazing and the special effects were first rate! I would recommend this show to children and adults alike! A great holiday event!
The show was amazing. Ready to go back and see some more.
The play was so beautiful, perfect for Christmas season, to enjoy with family. To honor Dr Seuss and his creation. The musicals, coreography and cast was amazing. One act direct, the play flows and intermission isn't necessary. I noticed the volume in the sound little low, probably designed for the children audience. The Grinch will be a classic every Christmas.
From beginning to end, it was absolutely amazing. The actors were superb and singing stunning! The show was absolutely memorable!
The show and DPAC experience was top notch! The show’s production was outstanding!
Wonderful show, great scenes, fantastic acting, and magical snow fall!
Highly recommend for the whole family. Funny, entertaining, surprising show and beautiful costumes.
Awesome show. Our family loved it. Especially my 4 year old grandson.
It was good however the first 30 mins or so was a tad slow and boring but it finished much better than it started.
Great show- all performers were good and the Grinch was excellent.
I’m going to keep this simple but I have to say I was surprised that the well-known story was able to be told in a creative and inventive way. Thoroughly enjoyed the musical.
Overall it was a really great experience. Very entertaining and fun experience. At times there was a little trouble hearing what was being said but otherwise a wonderfully done play/musical.
Great show, cast and experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone.
The helpful and friendly staff/ greeters were present at each entrance to ensure they can help any guest that needed help. The lobby, bathrooms and theater were all very clean, visually and scent-wise. Will Call staff was also professional and friendly assisting me with retrieving my tickets. The ushers are approachable and welcoming. Everyone must be trained very well because I haven't been disappointed with customer service any of the times I attend a show at DPAC. The show itself was well organized, stage lighting was great, A/V was clear and reasonably loud enough. The cast was funny, they performed & sang with energy. The customs/wardrobe was colorful, vibrant and on point!! The special effects, combines with everything above, made it all worth while. Definitely a show If pay to see again!
My 92 year old mother joined her children and grandchildren for a wonderful, whimsical experience! The staff was VERY attentive to my mother's needs as she is physically impaired, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to them for their kindness, and attentiveness. The grandchildren had a great time. It was the first live performance for my youngest (just turned 5) and he could not take his eyes off the stage. Thank you from 4 generations (all attending) for a memorable afternoon.
