Don Giovanni Tickets

Putting the orchestra on the stage is very distracting. Music may be beautiful, but it is background. Costuming was ridiculous. Don Giovanni is an aristocrat, but he and Leporelli were dressed like a pair of punk hoodlums. Zerlina dressed and acted like a little chippy who happily jumps in bed with anyone who asks her. Modern directors love to update staging and costuming: sometimes it works,this time it failed. One operagoers opinion.

It was my first time to see Don Giovannii and it is not my favorite opera. The singers were magnificent. The orchestra was unbelievable. The staging and the costumes were creative, but I won’t see it again.

I had a great time watching the premiere show of Don Giovanni. The show was confidently helmed by the lead singer Handaya Rusli. The production was tight and well organised.

I very much enjoyed this updated production of Don Giovanni and the high caliber performances by all of the cast. I was particularly impressed with the outstanding performance by Soprano, Danielle Palomares, who played the role of Maria. I was so entertained by this production that I decided to purchase more tickets and return the following weekend and brought along some friends that are opera enthusiasts. They were equally impressed by the show and felt that this UCLA production rivaled any professional production they had seen. BRAVO!

Wonderful performance, very professional and entertaining

I booked these tickets well in advance and paid extra to sit in box seats. My companion is 5' tall and I am 5'11"....we could not see anything!!! Not only could we not see the artists performing if they moved to the right side of the stage but neither of us could see the screens that had the translations on it. To say the least we were bitterly disappointed. That said, I would like to see an opera again but in different seats!

I attended the performance Saturday evening and thought it was very well done. The sets were nice. The orchestra and performers were excellent. I hope UK will continue to produce similar programs.
