Daryl Davis Tickets

This was our first time to attend one of Daryl Davis' "Thanks for the Memories"events. If only we had known about these starting 8 years ago. Daryl gathers a troupe of amazing local artists, with diverse talents and backgrounds, all of whom are able to blend together wonderfully after just one rehearsal. Kudos to all the performers. But the biggest kudo to Daryl, who meticulously identifies all the artists who passed on to the great jam session in the sky during the prior year. Beyond that however, he provides background information, both general and little-known, about these late performers. (Who knew Anna Mae Bullock?) The selection of tribute songs was also revelatory, not always deferring to a musician's best-known hit. 2023 may have been unparalleled in some of the greats we lost. But I am looking forward to Daryl's account of 2024 next year to remind us of music we should never lose from our hearts.

Fantastic show with really fun, talented musicians. Daryl is always top notch. Food and service were both excellent. Hope they do this show again next year.

Great performances and liked the back stories about the music

This was the first time I’ve been to see this annual show honoring those who have passed on. Was a bit leery as it sounded like it might be sad? NO WAY! Great tribute to amazing artists who left and those honoring them. The talent of all these musicians was amazing. My favorite was Procol Harum and Jerry Lee Lewis songs. It was an inspiring and delightful evening.

I attend concerts all over the country and I am connected with a lot of famous artists, but the one concert I never miss is this one. The talent that Darryl brings to the stage is unmatched in any venue. Not only because he recognizes those who departed us in the past year and their contribution to music but the performer's superb delivery of their music. The whole cast is beyond excellent. I highly recommend.

This was my first opportunity to attend the Thanks for the Memories cavalcade of local talent honoring those that passed the previous year. The surprise of the night was Darryl Perry's first public appearance on the Birchmere stage. He performed several songs -- and did a fantastic job. The other standout for me was Patsy Stephen's rendition of Carol Channing's Hello Dolly -- she nailed it! Thank you Daryl Davis for producing such a wonderful show.

Daryl Davis and his band are amazing! This was our first concert and we enjoyed every beautiful minute of it. I loved that Daryl mentioned all the RIP names and told us something about the person and contributions made to music. All of the support musicians and vocalists were exceptional and so well suited to the music they were playing/singing. Thank you, Daryl for doing this 5 years running.

Very entertaining. This gut is talented beyond belief. Put together great musicians for a wonderful tribute to all the entertainers who passed away in 2018.
