Dar Williams Tickets

I loved the warmth and personal stories that went with the music. Their personalities shown through and made the audience feel welcome and respectful of their talents.

Dar Williams always puts on a fantastic show at the Birchmere! This time, she dug deep into the tracks. It was a beautiful, atmospheric, and uplifting evening including some less-often performed gems alongside of all-time favorites. I could have done without the opener (who were, in fact, quite good with their ethereal harmonies), but I greedily and happily would have taken another 3-5 songs by Dar. I have seen her at least 20 times and each time I love her more.

By the shiny floor. The floor was so glossed it was like a mirror. Very impressive. The bathrooms need a renovation.

First time seeing Dar Williams and am now kicking myself I never went sooner. So good.

Loved Dar’s story telling style with her beautiful voice. Also loved that Any Ray band opened. The crowd was warm and welcoming. Great show and experience.

Amazing performances by all musicians but there was constant feedback coming through the piano player’s monitor for the entire set of the headliner. At one point the keyboardist got up and walked over to the monitor engineer. The feedback seemed to get worse after that. It was pretty typical 315 Hz and 630 Hz that was likely ringing from the piano player’s vocal mic, which rarely needed to be open at all. Really surprised and disappointed this happened at the historic Fillmore in SF. Even more surprising is that I thought this was a Local 16 venue. There was only a vocalist, an acoustic guitar and the keyboard rig. I daresay a “simple” show. Anyhow… everyone paid a lot for this show, and we should be refunded by the venue. It took the performers and audience members out of the show for sure. Bummer. But again, very rare to experience this at the Fillmore, which is one of the best places for live music in The City.

Wonderful evening, great food and memorable storytelling. Dar Williams was fantastic on the guitar and vocals. A true songwriter and performer. She delighted us with her singing and the events that inspired the lyrics for each song. Jimmy's does a top notch job providing a festive venue and atmosphere. Their staff is professional and always available. I have no reservations recommending both Dar Williams and Jimmy's.

Truly delightful experience. A rare talent. Loved every minute.

Have the absolute best night ever. Both Sophie and Dar delivered an intimate and amazing show. So wonderful to enjoy a night of beautiful vocals and musicianship. Well done!

Excellent concert! Great venue but the bartenders need to not have a full-on loud conversation while everyone is trying to enjoy the concert!
