Very good venue and the presentation was well done and emotional. Loved this Holiday concert!
A well performed classic that was great for the ear and mind. It would have been outstanding had they performed an encore with a couple Christmas classics.
We took my 86 year old mother so the 2:00pm performance is a great time!! The screen with the words was very helpful, we were not familiar with the Messiah back story! Thank you for the beautiful music and helping us celebrate the holidays!!??
The music was great but the view & sound were not. We sat up in front balcony seats. We could see the musicians but the chior was almost entirely blocked by a giant screen hanging from the rafters. The screen showed the scene, song & accompanying vocalist. That hindered the sound from the chior & impacted the performance. At least the Ticket Master & the Ames Center could note that youd be buying a seat with an extremely blocked view.
From parking to entrance, seats to music experience-just Wonderful! I live in the western suburbs-I wish I lived closer, I'd be here all the time!
Beautifully presented Orchestra, symphony, chorus and solo singer. Comfortable seating, lighting, sound.
Colleen Ray with the symphony and chorus was beautiful, engaging and entertaining. We also liked the raised seating, i would highly recommend this venue.
I love the music which was performed so well by the symphony, chorus, and the amazing talent of Elise Bombaro.
I enjoyed the selection which was a mix of pop culture - Peter Gunn, Jane Bond and classic - Prelude to the Afternoon of the Faun. Unfortunately, one of the horns squeaked occasionally. Also, I enjoyed the collaboration with Jello Slave, a quartet of 2 cellos, drums and tabla who played experimental music, the first two which left me cold and the last two which I totally enjoyed. I would see them all again if it was convenient.
