Churchill Downs Derby Week Tickets

On 502sday, betting windows by the box sections 116 and 117 were very crowded and, to get a bet in, you would have to stand in line constantly and not really see the race. $22 for a mint julep or lily (not including the tip) is just too much, and also had to wait in long line to get the drinks. New paddock was very nice -- found some short betting and drink lines out near the paddock, but far away from our seats... so that was nice, but why pay extra for the box seats?

It was amazing! The shuttle from Fairgrounds to Churchill Downs was so organized and greatly appreciated! The only downside was cost of food and drinks! Congrats on everything else!

My brother bought the tickets and shared my seats with me. Very easy especially since I had the app.

We attended on the $5 general admission tickets. The Stands were only full adjacent to the finish post so a short walk past there found lots of unbooked boxes.A perfect view of the last turn , the straight to the finish and then all the way to the next turn with a Video monitor close enough to give a replay showing the finish after each race. We even had a few different Mint Juleps .

The $40 parking took me by surprise and the temporary gates made for a long walk in sandals to get in the Downs. However, once we were in, we had a great time and won a few bets!!

I had a great time. I love that 502 day is specifically for local everything at the downs. So glad this day was created. Millionaires row is where I was the entire day and it was spatacular!

Didn't get into the stadium until after 930am on oaks day because the entrances didn't have tags for the bags or workers. Then when in the general admission the speakers didn't start working until race 8. We were a little let down

I have a few comments being new to the area. I wasn't aware I needed to purchase parking tickets by April 15th. I had to change my idea of what I was wearing when I discovered I'll be walking a lot more than I thought. The seats were another thing I forgot about. The seats automatically flip and fold back up and I sat down without looking behind me, I scraped my leg and behind. Minor sore but I wish it stayed down. Aside from these, I liked it. There's a ticket to buy for everything. Keep in mind to buy tickets if you want to view areas. The place is large and fun to walk around. You can only see the whole track from certain seats so you'll probably want to walk around. The horses are gorgeous. There's lots of helpful people to guide you and answer your questions. Overall I had fun!

Churchill Downs looked great with all.the upgrades., but the beer was a problem. $13.00 for a beer and only light beer, what was.the folks in charge thinking?

The shuttle is the way to go! Our seats were perfect and great access to food and betting. Everything was bright, colorful, and clean!
