This was my first time seeing Cecile McLorin Salvant, and I hope it isn't my last! She and her fellow musicians gave a rousing performance! Outstanding musicianship! Just the right amount of interaction with the audience! I could not stop my toes from tapping during the entire event! Bravo!
Cecile Savant is a fantastic artist! Her piano player is even more so. Great evening!
Cecile has an impressive range and an interesting repertoire of vocals. Her voice did not project well in the auditorium setting. Would prefer to see her in a more intimate setting. Back up musicians were fine.
Trio were a joy to listen to and Cecile's voice, breath taking and her humor and being feel lucky to hav witnessed this concert
Cecile has a lovely voice, she’s quick witted and engaging but, she was not dynamic enough to be singing in that big theater, Centennial Hall. I would have preferred hearing her in a smaller club venue, like the Century Room at Hotel Congress for instance. It was difficult to hear many of her song intros because her voice did not project. Not sure if it was the sound system or her softish voice that was the problem. I have heard that the sound in that theater was poor from a local Tucson person. Also, the stage spotlight was broken for 5-10 minutes!!! Gotta give Cecile & her accompanists credit for not missing beat during the blackout. She handled it with poise and humor.
So incredible! Her voice is like butter and she is beyond professional! The lights went out and the show went on! She and her band did not miss a beat! I so adore Cecile! ??
Cecile McLorin Salvant Is amazing!! I love events at Centennial Hall, a smaller venue that is more personal and sounds great!
First time for me to hear Cecile Salvant in person - it far exceeded my expectations! Loved Cecile, the bass player, loved the drummer, loved the pianist!! the connection between all of them was fantastic!
Loved her voice, music, interpretation of the music! The piano, drums and the basis musicians were great!
