When you go to hear a Carpenters Tribute band, you are really going to hear "Karen"sing, and mostly their hits. The first 5 or 6 songs were familiar songs, probably from their albums, but not their familiar hits. Then "Karen"left the stage leaving "Richard"to spend about 20 minutes on his own. First, he brought audience members on the stage to do a Spike Jones bit with bicycle horns and duck calls and then to play an elongated piano mashup of tunes "suggested"by the audience. The man is a good pianist, but not what we came to hear. When "Karen"came back out she did about a 10-15 minute medley covering most of the Carpenters hits, singing about 1 verse of each. Toward the end she sang all of "We've only just begun"and possibly one other hit song. I wouldn't pay to go see them again.
