Butler Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse
Hinkle Fieldhouse, the home court of the Butler Bulldogs in Indianapolis, has earned its nickname as “Indiana's Basketball Cathedral” with its lengthy history and distinction as one of the few sports venues in the US to be designated a National Historic Landmark. It also famously is the backdrop to the championship basketball game in the movie “Hoosiers.” Opening in 1928 as Butler Fieldhouse, the facility was the country’s largest basketball arena until 1950. It was renamed in 1966 after the Bulldogs’ head coach Tony Hinkle. While Butler was a member of the Horizon League, Hinkle Fieldhouse hosted several conference tournaments, including the Bulldogs’ championship win in 2010. In 2021, the arena held several semifinal matches in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
Tickets for the 2024-25 regular season can be purchased on Ticketmaster, the Official Ticket Marketplace of the Butler Bulldogs.

So much fun at this game! Happy to find great seats so close to the day of the game.
Our seats were the best and we were able to see everything. My daughter was able to get up out of her seat and cheer for butler
Game was totally epic!! Great seats!! Awesome!!!!!
Great upset for Bulldogs. Hinkle is a good place to watch a game. Small enough that their aren't really many bad seats. Atmosphere much better than last game I attended.
This facility needs to be replaced. Leave the shell of the building alone for historic reasons but the sight lines are terrible. We could not see from the foul line in to the baseline. With the success they have had & the amount of average attendance, they have the $$$ to replace this ancient relic!!!!
This was a super event as always! The seats were fantastic in Section 217!
The win was a much needed Big East win! It was a great time with my Father. Go BU, Go BU!
Big East officials are horrible, but venue is awesome!
Hinkle was great as usual. It was nearly full, and it was a great atmosphere to watch a game. Easy to park. Easy to get in and out. Took my six year old for the first time, he had a great time too. Will definitely be going back, and hopefully soon.
was surprised to get these seats so close to the day of the game. Great experience.
Always great experience at Hinkle. We enjoy the atmosphere at Bulldogs basketball.
The arena and the atmosphere was great . It was great to see them win . Upper bleacher area does not have backs on the seats . The Parking situation is a complete mess .Other than that I had a good time . You must go very early if you want to park any where close
If you are a college hoops fan, you must include Hinkle Fieldhouse on your bucket list. It is especially rewarding if your team wins, but watching any team play the Bull Dogs is great. Don't expect any beer, and you really won't need it to enjoy yourself
What a great time. It was our first time there and were very impressed with the atmosphere. Being able to get on the floor and have our grandson play on the court after the game was priceless! Go see the Bulldogs at Hinkle!
The parking at Hinkle Fieldhouse is very bad. There is only 22 handicapped parking places. My 73 year old 100% disabled vet father had to walk 4 blocks to the fieldhouse after the security at there very rudely let him know that the parking in front of Hinkle was for Season Ticket holders only. The tickets where a gift My 16 year old daughter bought them so her and her Grandfather could go to a game together. to say the parking put a cloud over the whole event for them. To say the least they will not be returning to Butler
Took in the Butler vs. DePaul game with my brother, who had never been to Hinkle Fieldhouse. A bucket list venue for a college basketball fan.
seats were not padded as reported. fieldhouse was very hot, no ventilation
The game was great. The seats were wonderful. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because the map was not representative of the actual seats. The last seat in the row was right up against the rail for the handicap section. On the map, it appears to be an aisle next to the seat.
Hinkle Fieldhouse never gets old, especially with the recent renovations. The Butler Bulldogs always seems to rise to the occasion no matter the expectations.
The game was awesome but the tickets were not good'
