Enjoyed every minute of the play - actors, actresses, music, stage, etc. ONLY drawback - Maria's wig was UGLY and didn't look right on her head.
The Sound of Music performance was very good. All performers very talented. However, the Morrison center acoustics and audio systems are terrible. It's too bad that great performances are held there as in the 5 years I have attended performances, Morrison has never improved the quality of their audio system.
I took my Mom as my date to see The Sound of Music. I hadn't known what to expect because I'd never attended a show put on by BSU. The musicians in the orchestra performed beautifully, the talent of the actors was outstanding and it envoked such heartfelt nostalgia. I'd recommend to anyone who is interested to take advantage and see this show!
I can't BELIEVE it was not a traveling troop of professionals!! I am thrilled to be able to afford such a quality performance!
The show was fabulous - as good as a Broadway production! The costumes were excellent, the orchestra was wonderful, the acting and singing First Rate. It made me laugh and cry. Im very proud of our Boise talent. Thanks one and all !
Everything from the set to costuming to the singing was done to perfection. Saw no flaws in this wonderfully staged performance. Very impressive acting and the orchestra was impeccable. As good as it gets.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Sound of Music. The scenery, the acting, the singing and the orchestra were all top notch. It was 3 hours of non-stop entertainment.
Was genuinely very impressed with what they did with an obvious low budget! Creative set, flawless music performance and good acting!
Awesome vocals and music. A 10 on all counts! It was a bargain at twice the cost!
Sound of Music by the department of theater was fantastic! The music and voices were beautiful. The interaction with the audience and between the orchestra and conductor was so fun. I took my 15 and 10 year old and we were all swept in. We loved this far more than our last few Broadway in boise performances. Such a great night out! So many nods to the original film.
