BLUE MAN GROUP AT THE LUXOR
Before Blue Man Group was astounding audiences in Las Vegas and beyond, the founding members were entertaining crowds in Manhattan's Lower East Side. By 1991, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton had a full show at Astor Place Theatre. Blue Man Group's big break arrived in 2000 with their addition to the Las Vegas line-up at The Luxor. Internationally, Blue Man Group has had show runs in cities from Sydney to Vienna. In 2017, Blue Man Group was purchased by the circus-like show Cirque du Soleil to be expanded. The genius of the Blue Man Group has been rewarded with the Obie Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, and Drum! Magazine Readers Choice Award. Currently in residency in The Luxor Las Vegas, Blue Man Group also has shows in Boston, New York, Orlando, and Chicago.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Formed in 1991, The Blue Man Group has made the transition from a performance group to an iconic Las Vegas experience. In fact, it's one of the longest-running shows in Sin City. The Blue Man Group live puts on a multi-sensory show integrating percussion and instrumental music, vibrant neon lights, and a variety of tricks using props and water. The actors faces are painted in a signature blue paint, and their signature all-black outfits add to the drama. Let yourself escape into a world of magic as the artists integrate live rock music with slight of hand and use of unexpected props. The group has made its mark on pop culture, with references to the production appearing in storylines on shows from Arrested Development to Scrubs. The groups recordings include "The Complex" album from 2002 which features Dave Matthews and Gavin Rossdale, and "THREE," an instrumental album released in 2016.
Great show. Funny, engaging. A bit loud. We will see them again.
I saw the BMG 20 years ago and they were phenomenal!! This show is terrible with too little percussion and too many can fluff skits/acts … please go back to your roots …
We booked this show not knowing what to expect. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Very entertaining with lots of laughter.
Love the interactions with the crowd!!! The best show ive seen!!!
A true family friendly show with non-stop laughs and amazing music. Creative story telling. Loved every second of it
The show was absolutely amazing. It was funny, and very entertaining. Great music! Would definitely go again in the future.
This was my second time going, I was with two others who attended for the first time and we all loved it!
I likes the music, and some of the humor was good, but there were some parts that were just slow & strange.
I’ve seen 100’s of shows and I will say the blue man group is #1 of them all. Hands down the best from the audience interaction to the lighting.. my kids first Vegas show and safe to say they will NEVER FORGET IT! My youngest son was sitting next to me and he was used by the blue man group as a stability point as they crawled over the crowd and he absolutely lost it as he realized what was happening. Thank you for an incredible show and even more so for genuinely being incredible as you touch the minds and hearts of millions!
Overall a good show. The blue men came out in the audience and interacted a bit. The music was fun and lively. Would be a great show to take kids.
Show is okay comedy and probably good for children but not as great as I expected. Lazer light show was good, but rest was just silly. Also, interruptions during show by crazy cell phone monitor lady. Any venue doing this can never get above 2 stars since the show is ruined, and I am blocked from promoting it. Also, blocking everyone views while stalking cell phones. Truely obnoxious behavior. Talked to the manager and asked beforehand and said that as long as not a professional camera or use flash, everything was okay. Think they need an announcement to not take video. Mine were only 30 seconds violating no policy since it is not sellable. I publish free on Google Maps, so there is no reason to ruin the show for a free service to promote the venue.
We absolutely loved the show! We had second row seats and there were open seats in the front row more towards the center and the ushers moved us closer which we really liked! I would see this show over and over again because it was so good!
It was ok. Wasn’t worth $250. We saw 4 shows while we were there and this one was my least favorite.
I always make time to catch Blue Man Group everytime I'm in Vegas. It is amazing how entertaining and funny these guys can be without saying a word or changing facial expressions. And i really like the music.
Hard to explain the show but worth every penny great for families and a vegas must do!
What a great way to spend our first evening in Vegas! Blue Man Group did not disappoint! Interactive, modern, and engaging. Loved it!!!
A great show for all age groups! Comedic, thought provoking, encouraging, artistic. A show that brings people together.
The show was weak, a few totally boring skits like bringing the audience member up to the stage for 10 minutes.
I have heard the last 20 years that I should go see the. Blue Man Group from all my friend and also my family it took until I was 59 I went December 8 Las Vegas I was ready to leave 20 minutes into the show but I had a friend with me so I stayed and all I did was watch the DRUMMER the music was good but the SHOW I didn’t care for it’s loud lighting is terrible they diff need improvement in all parts It should be for a younger crowd the lighting is to much for us old folks but I have to say it wasn’t anything that I thought it was gonna be I was disappointed when we left I told my friend I wasn’t happy and I was surprised she said the same thing I would love to be REFUNDED I spent a lot of money on my stickets
This show was definitely a disappointment. Other than a minor part of the show where they do show talent with drum playing with the colored water, the rest was very juvenile. Some of the parts that were meant to be comical were somewhat funny, but overall not much. They spent 10-15 minutes bringing a girl from the audience onstage and eating twinkies, trying to make it funny. Seriously. Don’t waste your money there are too many shows in Vegas that have real talent.
