David Copperfield on Tour
A living legend who sells out arenas around the globe when not at the Las Vegas theater that bears his name, David Copperfield is one of the most revered and successful performers in the history of show business. Over the course of his six-decade career, the master magician has sold more tickets than any other solo entertainer, including Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.
David Copperfield's passion for magic, ingenuity as an innovator and ability to astonish are all trademarks of a career that has included Emmy-winning television specials, hit Broadway productions and countless performances. Among his spectacular and iconic feats are walking through the Great Wall of China, making a seemingly impossible escape from Alcatraz prison and — in what was called the Illusion of the Century — causing the Statue of Liberty to disappear in front of a live audience on Liberty Island and millions of TV viewers worldwide.
Viewers can experience his unique brand of magic and storytelling in David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusions, an entertaining and engaging showcase of his art and craft featuring illusions that often take years to develop and perfect. Widely acclaimed as the greatest illusionist of our time, he continues to wow audiences on his world tours and at his shows inside the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Who is David Copperfield?
David Copperfield's career in magic began when he was 10 years old, performing in his New Jersey neighborhood as Davino the Boy Magician. By the age of 16, he was a member of the Society of American Magicians and teaching magic at New York University.
Copperfield's decades-long string of top-rated, Emmy-winning television specials began in 1977, where he performed his unprecedented feats and illusions before TV audiences.
When not performing live at such storied locations as the White House and in his own Broadway productions, Copperfield has shared his signature combination of storytelling, stagecraft and magic with audiences worldwide. First presented in 2003, David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion toured venues and sold-out arenas across the US and the world. It regularly runs at the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

It was excellent and didn’t know what to expect he took us on a journey.
David Copperfield’s Live The Impossible show was great. Illusions were very believable and the theme was emotionally connecting. Warm, loving, funny, interactive, entertaining.
I had heard from so many people to see this show; after it was over, I could not understand why. It is dated and awkward throughout. I think only children would be impressed with the "magic"that is performed. I would not recommend anyone pay money to see this show.
My husband and I were so amazed! Had never seen Mr. Copperfield's show and so disappointed in us that we had not come sooner. He not only had our mouths open the whole time he also had us crying like a baby with the wonderful story between him and his father?? We just wished it was a littler longer?? we didn't want it to stop, lol
The storyline involving the little green alien was tired before it even began. I couldn’t find it in myself to be impressed by the objects appearing and disappearing by way of diverted attention or simply blocking our view. “Oh, he turned out the lights/covered our view and something appeared!!! How did he manage such a thing?!” His team didn’t try very hard to suspend the belief that this was real, either. We were explicitly instructed multiple times, “don’t look around” or “don’t touch your email!” That doesn’t do it for me, especially after spending the same amount on Cirque the night before and seeing some truly incredible feats—REAL feats. David’s sense of humor is outdated and his treatment of the audience members he brought on stage left a sour taste in my mouth. In fact, I don’t recommend attending for those points alone. My advice to David’s team: it may be time to pivot and find a new niche within “magic.” What you do simply doesn’t cut it anymore. Two stars instead of one because it was cheaper than the other magic shows on the strip.
The show is like no other. A person must be there to see it in order to experience it.
Please please please do not waste your money on this show! My husband and I were recently in Vegas for a trip and decided we would see David Copperfield on a whim… Little did we know it will be a complete waste of a night and $300. David needs to retire, this show was thorough evidence of this. He only did about four tricks overall, well, maybe five… The show was so bad we left early. He used a small alien doll, and the whole premise for a majority of the show was for the audience to believe in this doll, so that it could return back to its home planet. Unbelievable, we’re still baffled by just how horrendous this was. Again, do not go and see this show unless you LIKE wasting your money!
He did a great job of interacting with the crowd. I was on stage for 2 illusions.
He’s an icon of our era and the best illusionist ever !
