BLUE MAN GROUP AT THE LUXOR
Before Blue Man Group was astounding audiences in Las Vegas and beyond, the founding members were entertaining crowds in Manhattan's Lower East Side. By 1991, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton had a full show at Astor Place Theatre. Blue Man Group's big break arrived in 2000 with their addition to the Las Vegas line-up at The Luxor. Internationally, Blue Man Group has had show runs in cities from Sydney to Vienna. In 2017, Blue Man Group was purchased by the circus-like show Cirque du Soleil to be expanded. The genius of the Blue Man Group has been rewarded with the Obie Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, and Drum! Magazine Readers Choice Award. Currently in residency in The Luxor Las Vegas, Blue Man Group also has shows in Boston, New York, Orlando, and Chicago.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Formed in 1991, The Blue Man Group has made the transition from a performance group to an iconic Las Vegas experience. In fact, it's one of the longest-running shows in Sin City. The Blue Man Group live puts on a multi-sensory show integrating percussion and instrumental music, vibrant neon lights, and a variety of tricks using props and water. The actors faces are painted in a signature blue paint, and their signature all-black outfits add to the drama. Let yourself escape into a world of magic as the artists integrate live rock music with slight of hand and use of unexpected props. The group has made its mark on pop culture, with references to the production appearing in storylines on shows from Arrested Development to Scrubs. The groups recordings include "The Complex" album from 2002 which features Dave Matthews and Gavin Rossdale, and "THREE," an instrumental album released in 2016.
Great venue, there aren't really any bad seats. The performers do a great job making the audience feel like part of the show. A lot of fun for kids and adults alike.
This show was everything I expected and more. The interaction with the audience was wonderful, The ideas incorporated was nothing I have ever seen. I attended the show with my daughter and granddaughter and they both loved it. The show is well worth every penny. I hope to come back and see it again. Keep up the AWESOME work.
Went to Blue Man Group for my 27th birthday in Vegas. It was the best part of my Vegas trip. We were asked to be part of the show and it’s an awkward but funniest thing ever. Very entertaining. their motto is Hard to explain. Easy to love. And that’s honestly the best way to describe it!
Walked out after hearing only 5 minutes of music during the first 50 minutes. If you like lengthy pantomime jokes (which I found lame) with very short musical interludes, then this show is for you.
My boyfriend had been to the show a few years and loved it. So, when we were going to visit our grandsons for a day in Vegas we had to get tickets. The tickets were pricey but we felt it would be worth it. It was. Had no idea what to expect but it was very entertaining. When they were playing music on the pipe drum things, my grandson kept saying “they’re good “. We all laughed a lot. Thoroughly enjoyed the show.
The Blue man Group are rock stars. The music was awesome. They are funny. It is so cool the way interact with the audience and each other.
Show was great. Seats were over priced and with obstructed view. Seat map was not accurate, very disappointing, was not able to see anything on stage right
I have waited years to experience this event. The anticipation was far greater than what the show offered. The show was built on a ton of fluff and/or fillers.. with a small amount of it actually being about what they are known for.
The Blue Man Group is an incredible show. This was the second time we had seen them at the Luxor in Las Vegas. Our seats were on the very end of the second row and from that angle you couldn't completely see the whole stage and the stage lighting was frequently shining right into our faces that made it hard to see as well. The first time we saw them several years ago we were higher up and more centered on the stage which was excellent.
Very audience interactive, These blue men come down off the stage and are very curious and interacted with their audience. So much fun!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Man Group!! The show is very funny and interactive with the audience!! I highly recommend this show!!
Venue was dirty. I assume the show has changed and is must be geared towards a kids crowd. We assumed it was going to be about the drumming this was not the case at all. Having fake puke directed towards you is not what we signed up for. We heard comments afterwards that said I dressed up for this and what the hell was that. We would not recommend to anyone. You should let people know on the website what to expect.
Just ok for me. A bit strange with no real point. A bit funny but I’ve seen better. Definitely not worth the price.
I recommend the BMG for everyone. The overall experience is tough to pin down, but it is a blast.
I absolutely loved the show, from the very start to the very end. The music and beats were blood-boiling and the audience interaction was the best I have seen. The 3 performers were very talented and humorous in their facial expressions and actions. Words can't describe how excited and inspired I was at the show.
Awesome experience. My daughter and niece truly enjoyed the showed. Would definitely recommend!!
I already had a lot of familiarity with the Blue Man Group and their show; thus my expectations were sky high. I’m happy to say they totally blew away my expectations and were even better than I had hoped!! They were totally awesome. I 100% recommend this show while in Vegas.
Great show Second time seeing it. Was 10 times better than the Beatles LOVE show.
Sat in front row great experience very interactive. Highly recommend just cover your feet
The music portions were good quality and fun to watch. The comedy was paced very slowly and was a needless distraction. It just filled up time to make the show long enough. Don't bother wasting money on this show.
