BLUE MAN GROUP AT THE LUXOR
Before Blue Man Group was astounding audiences in Las Vegas and beyond, the founding members were entertaining crowds in Manhattan's Lower East Side. By 1991, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton had a full show at Astor Place Theatre. Blue Man Group's big break arrived in 2000 with their addition to the Las Vegas line-up at The Luxor. Internationally, Blue Man Group has had show runs in cities from Sydney to Vienna. In 2017, Blue Man Group was purchased by the circus-like show Cirque du Soleil to be expanded. The genius of the Blue Man Group has been rewarded with the Obie Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, and Drum! Magazine Readers Choice Award. Currently in residency in The Luxor Las Vegas, Blue Man Group also has shows in Boston, New York, Orlando, and Chicago.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Formed in 1991, The Blue Man Group has made the transition from a performance group to an iconic Las Vegas experience. In fact, it's one of the longest-running shows in Sin City. The Blue Man Group live puts on a multi-sensory show integrating percussion and instrumental music, vibrant neon lights, and a variety of tricks using props and water. The actors faces are painted in a signature blue paint, and their signature all-black outfits add to the drama. Let yourself escape into a world of magic as the artists integrate live rock music with slight of hand and use of unexpected props. The group has made its mark on pop culture, with references to the production appearing in storylines on shows from Arrested Development to Scrubs. The groups recordings include "The Complex" album from 2002 which features Dave Matthews and Gavin Rossdale, and "THREE," an instrumental album released in 2016.
We had a good time of entertainment. Great interaction with the audience
I have to tell you it's the same show I saw last year but you see something new every time
This is the third time I’ve seen the blue man group. I was disappointed. Cap’n Crunch? Twinkies? Such filler material. I felt like there was a lot of simple time wasting.
Pretty good overall - could have done without some of the comedy acts they threw in and a bit more of their talents with playing their music in different ways. Some of the comedy routines went on too long. Overall it’s worth seeing.
This show was really fun and energetic. However, there is a LOT of downtime where the men just kind of stare at each other and stare at the audience. We would go see the show again
This is a do not miss show! Thoroughly enjoyed it and will see it again. Fun and artistic!
We were so happy that we chose to take our family to this show while on Vegas.
This show was fantastic! It will appeal to all! Great music and so funny! We had the best time and would definitely recommend it. We will definitely return to the show on our next trip it was that good. Highly recommend!
We were blown away by the whole experience. The sense of humour was similar to ours and enjoyed the show immensely. The music was sensational.
2nd time seeing them. Their visit to the seats gave me a knuckle bump!
Upon arrival someone else had been sitting in my seat. I found this somewhat irritating as it appeared to just be a under age 18 minor who se parents had just given my seat. I wanted to be as close to the Blue Man group as possible without getting showered with paint so I had chosen a specific seat. I did sit in the second row and I thought that the show was awesome. Very good energy from the band. Very neat display. And I've always liked their music that was good too.
My Aunt Mary jo was chosen to go onstage. Great show. Everone had a good time. Would go agsin.
The show is mostly a music and light show. Most of the music is provided by the "band" which is kept in the shadows except for the glowing florescent stripes and face paint. The 3 man Blue Crew are somewhat entertaining but their show is in need of an update. Beating on PVC tubes and a large drum are fascinating for about 10 minutes. The rest of the show is only mildly entertaining at best.
Enjoyed the music, lights, and skits. Very well balanced show with periods of laughter and and awe.
My husband and I had seen them before so we knew we had to take our 11 y/o during his first trip to Vegas. He was in amazement the entire time and he has told us numerous times that was his favorite part of the trip. The Blue Man Group never disappoints.
Second go around was just as amazing as the first. Kids loved it!! I would recommend this show to any and all
Not like other BMG shows we’ve seen. We waited for it to get better…it never did. Very disappointed…
Definitely a Vegas show. Entertaining and at times funny.
We had the best time recently in Vegas at the Blue Man Group. We laughed so hard and it was an awesome family experience. I loved how much they played into the audience and how amazing everyone treated us. We will be back!
It was very entertaining.. I loved that they interacted with the audience
