Decent show but no real magic. Opening act was really not good. Singer could not understand a word and he had 2 robots playing guitars. Not entertaining at all.
Best blues rock guitarist in the world! Great voice!
The music was great and sound was amazing. We had a great time and my husband enjoyed it too. This is a compliment coming from a musician.
We went to see Cedric Burnside, who canceled before we got to venue. No worries- Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears delivered an energetic show that we thoroughly enjoyed. A little James Brown, a little Jonny Lang…blues, soul, funk…he had a little of everything all wrapped up into his own unique sound. The band was tight and we had a blast. Can’t wait to see them again!
BJL just gets better. I am from austin and we went to Denver to see him. Have seen him lots and this was one of the best performances ever in a great venu
How about that opening band!?! Dragondeer killed it. The floor was full and they had everyone moving. Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears were great, too, but I haven’t been wowed by an opener like that in some time. Also love this venue. Intimate, very cool setup.
I've never seen anyone play guitar like that - fantastic!! Venue was great! --small intimate , clean, friendly staff, great bar. Only downside was the mixing. Could not hear his voice or the sax player very well.
The band is amazing, horn section, flute, and Joe Lewis is an amazing talent!
These guys took the stage running and played a great set. Started out with some new material and then kicked it into high gear with old faves. Super tight and loaded with energy. Excellent show!
