Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers Tickets

I had always wanted to see Bill Murray live and this was my opportunity. I was not disappointed after driving 4 hours to see this man and the Blood Brothers. I write a monthly column for Central NY’s Sentinel newspaper, and as a result of going to this concert I decided to write an article encouraging others to get out and see someone that they’ve always liked, whether a golfer, actor, author, etc. The music was terrific, and Bill Murray was enthusiastic, animated, and having a blast being part of a band. If you’re on the fence about going, get off the fence and go!

Lots of good music; Jimmy Carpenter opened the evening and he was superb! The Blood Brothers and their Band took the stage with Bill Murray. Both Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia played great Blues. Bill Murray joined in on about 6 songs and the crowd was energized - he sang some great classics with a Bill Murray twist! A fun night!!

Are you kidding? This is a tight band and Bill Murray is the cherry on top. So enjoyable to hear mid 60s retro music, including a song by The Kinks. Murray owned that cowbell and knew when to stay in the background when the Blood Brothers were out front with guitars & the other instruments. For me, the highlight of the night was Murray’s rendition of Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone”. So much power and anger. in this version it was revelatory. Go see this band!

Really good he’s kind of quirky, but does a great job on stage. The band was tremendous, about 12 musicians playing everything from Detroit music to Bob Dylan, really loved it. Jimmy Carpenter warm-up band, joined Bill Murray and the Blood Brothers back on stage playing saxophone. I would recommend Bill Murray and the blood Brothers!

Wasn't the show I thought it would be, but it was amazing, great blues bands and awesome to see Bill Murray live, would definitely go again

What a great, special show!! If it comes to your town, BUY!!!! I was shocked that this Port Chester event at the Capitol Theater on Fri 2/14 (Valentine's Day) was not sold out, though it still was well attended. Many were drove up from NYC (as the Sat night show at SONY was sold out); well worth the 35 minute drive from Queens. All performers shared the stage so well and so easily (so THEM!), but Jimmy Vivino stole the show with "21st Century"and "Shotgun". Bill Murray sang as Bill does, and was having a ball; Mike Zito (joined at some point by the "new guy", his son Zach) was his usual stellar self; and Albert Castiglia found his time to riff like only Albert can. They'll be back individually at NYC's Iridium at some point (perhaps one of them will join that night's lead for a song). Three awesome musicians!!! PS - a couple of negative lightbulbs to the lighting guy at the Capitol, for not properly lighting the leads as they riffed, kinda left them in the shadows. No biggie, but it stuck out as a miss. The sound system BTW was great, we sat in the 3rd row of the Loge RC (only three rows in it), dead center, awesome seats. The Capitol staff & bartender's were great, free street parking very near. NOTE: Blues Travelers will be there May 29th for a fund raiser - We're IN!!

Like Bill Murray, his fans are a lot of fun. The band was great, and Bill was Bill in a way that only Bill could be.

What can I say - from opening act to encore a fabulous night of music!! Bill let the musicians on stage with him shine while he played percussion and when he moved up front to sing, brought down the house! He’s having so much fun!! And to say he was at the SNL 50 Homecoming Concert and hour before going on stage!! Consummate professional. Don’t go into it expecting SNL character - lounge singer Nick Valentine, as you’ll be disappointed - there’s no Star Wars theme either!! But you need neither!! Can’t wait to see what’s next - maybe SNL musical guests…..

The first part was way too long. Bill Murray did say anything to the crowd. The were a bunch of drunk guys ruining the show for my husband and I.
