BattleBots Destruct-A-Thon Tickets

It was really fun to see the action in person after watching these matches for so long on TV. It was also cool to see so many families in the audience. What a great place to bring the kids. It would be nice to see a ramped area for anyone with mobility challenges, and getting to the venue is a little tricky if you're not driving, but it was well worth the effort. The show was entertaining, and the backstage opportunity was worth the extra cost. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience.

The show is 90 mins. 80 mins is talking, 10 mins is bots fighting each other. Total disappointment. They are trying to squeeze every dollar from the show. Try to upsell you on booze, souvenirs, entertain you with cheap jokes, etc. I get it, bots are expensive, brittle and most of the time die very boringly. But it can be fixed! Just don't destroy bots. At least for real. No one gives a heck if the fight is scripted or not. People come for the show. They want spectacular destructions. Give it to them! Make the bots look like they are being destroyed. With fireworks, fire and smoke. Make it worth watching. WWE is fake but people still love it. You need WWE for robots. Drop this lame "educate the kids"agenda and give us the show we want!

The show was great but more actual battles with the real competitors would have made it more fun!

They put on a great show for the fact that they have a show every day. If you like BattleBots it is worth it.

No Faruq. No judges. No real damage done during the obviously staged "battles."Lots of cheesy hype from the 2 hosts and drivers. Lots of videos. VIP seats are not worth paying extra for. If you're expecting something close to the TV show battles and you're more than 12 years old, you will probably be disappointed.

This was a good time. Not to expensive! Good for all ages.

The show is just OK. in my opinion, there was just WAY too much talkie talkie and not nearly enough robot action. The first battle didn't even start until 6:30 (show start time was 6:00). Only 4 battles in total. I don't think you really need the "performers". I would have preferred to hear from the actual drivers, instead. That would have been way more interesting. They tell you to get there early, but then you just wait around and stand in line waiting to get to your seat. It's a chance to buy merchandise and a snack, but if you don't need that you could literally walk inn at 6:15. Every seat in the place is just fine. I really enjoy the show Battlebots, so I was disappointed. Also, it is kept very cold in the arena, so take a jacket. Even my husband was cold and he never gets cold.

My husband and I have watched many seasons of BattleBots. We expected this event to be similar to one of the past seasons. It was not. Faruq is no longer the announcer. There weren't any judges. If the fight wasn't a knock out, the winner was selected by audience vote (cheering). It appears that old robots are given a little further life by fighting each other in fights driven by people that don't know the robot. Young hipsters in flashy gear bop around and rap about how they are going to win. They supposedly drive the robots (it looked like someone else may have actually driven), none of the robots have much damage, and a winner is declared. Then a robot was sent in to tear apart an old slot machine so there would be some destruction. After sweeping the floor, two more fights were conducted. These were manned by their real teams. We recognized Bunny from the Malice team. Again, there was minimal destruction and no judges. About half of the show time was filled with videos explaining the history of BattleBots competition, past fights for the robots, etc. The BattleBots franchise is no longer carried by cable TV. They said the fights will be on YouTube. We paid extra for VIP tickets but it wasn't worth it. A couple of people had small signs, but there weren't any signs blocking anyone's view. All of the battles seemed like WWE - staged fights to put on a show,. No damage. No judges. No Faruq. We were disappointed because it was not the same as the TV show. If you're a kid that is a BattleBots fan and/or if you lower your expectations, it may be ok.

Great to see the robots battle up close and personal. Fantastic presentation by the hosts. A brilliant show!

It really was a great show. And everyone there was personable and got everyone involved.
