I have missed the opportunity to see Baroness twice previously and this was the first time I got to see them. This was also my fourteen year old's first concert. She had a great time. Baroness put on an amazing show. Not only did they put on an amazing show, they brought amazing energy. Their enthusiasm was amazing. They seemed to have a blast playing for us and it was awesome. The Majestic is also a great venue. The sound was awesome and there is something special about seeing metal bands in a smallish venue. I want to see Baroness accomplish all of their goals, but I do feel very fortunate to see them in a smaller venue. I can't wait to see Baroness next time they are near Madison or Milwaukee.
The show was excellent. I will see Baroness every time they come to Maine. Thank you.
I love Baroness! Every show they put on is great and they bring a lot of energy! I will definitely continue seeing them live.
First time at the Stone Pony - fantastic venue. Amazing sound, even off to the side of the stage. The opening act, Lybica, were excellent to start. I had never seen Red Fang and they blew me away. Then came Baroness, the band I came to see. I was not disappointed. Red Fang and Baroness are now on my "must see"list whenever they are around, and the Stone Pony is everything it was cracked up to be.
Yeah, just about as good as a concert could possibly be. Only complaints, 4 hours across the 3 bands was not long enough of a concert, and instead of playing my favorite songs, they played my other favorite songs, cause everything they play is amazing. They also played "If I Have to Wake Up (Would You Stop The Rain)"Right as the storm picked up outside the venue.
Baroness was fine, five stars - except they changed their setlist to songs that all sounded pretty similar, and I was really looking forward to songs they didn’t play. More importantly, I have never in my life wanted to leave a concert more than during those openers. Spotlights could have been okay, but their mix was all wrong with instruments overpowering each other. Ben Opie on sax with them made it a little better, but still he was overpowered by their terrible sound levels. We thought it couldn’t get any worse, because at least they could have been good under the right circumstances. We were really wrong. Soul Glo was horrible - like a train wreck and dumpster fire. We fled to the halls to get away from that crime against music (and, as we found out after, that some of them were literally criminals). I’ve never seen so many people standing outside the doors at the bar waiting for the act to just stop already. Honestly, I probably would not ever see a band who toured with them again, because I’d lose as much respect as I had for Baroness to have that as one of their openers.
Band sounded great. Very interactive with the crowd. Overall, a fantastic show. Gina is a great addition to the band!
Have been getting into baroness very heavily the last few months, and seeing them live solidified them as my favorite band. Any time I’ve seen a band live, I’ve never yearned to see them live again, until I saw Baroness. Awesome light show and awesome stage energy. They played so many great songs throughout their discography on top of their newest album. Killer Setlist. Killer band. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. There is something in their music catalog for everyone, so I think anyone and everyone should experience them live.
The band is firing on all cylinders. John and Gina are the perfect guitar duo and Nick and Sabastian are as solid of a rhythm section you'll find. If you haven't seen Baroness live do yourself a favor and make one of these shows. You won't be disappointed.
