About
Specializing in a stylish, sultry pop where the dark vibe is accentuated and brightened by melody -- a combination she labels "manifestation music" -- Ashley Sienna first gained attention by streaming her music live during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sienna spun her live-streaming success into a series of independent releases, with the simmering 2022 single "What You Need" turning into a viral hit that set up the 2023 release of her debut album, I AM.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Ashley Sienna cultivated a love of music at an early age, singing with toy microphones whenever she had a chance. Music became a vocation in her adolescence. Enrolling at the Ryerson Professional Music program at Toronto Metropolitan University -- she attended the Creative School -- Sienna started uploading her original songs in 2019. Once the COVID-19 lockdown happened in early 2020, Sienna spent upwards of five hours a day streaming performances on Sessions Live, effectively becoming the face of the platform. After she won a Sessions Live competition, the company put her on a Los Angeles Billboard in 2021 and placed her on the lineup for the Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas.
During 2021, Ashley Sienna released a pair of independent EPs -- Out of My Head and Restart -- but it was the 2022 singles "444" and "What You Need" that helped raise her profile and land her sync deals. After "What You Need' racked up millions of online streams, Sienna embarked on an active 2023. After releasing "Damn Those Eyes" (which featured several different mixes), she teamed with Ellise for "Pretty in the Dark," a gothic pop single that racked up healthy streams. After "I Win" and "Exorcism," Sienna released the I AM album at the end of the year.
Ashley Sienna began her 2024 by appearing on Sophie Powers's "Obsessed," then reteamed with Ellise for "Dollface." In April, Sienna released her first single of the year, "Aphrodite."
