Art Prevails Project Tickets

"Seeking"is an outstanding play. The author and director, Darius Daughtry, took full advantage of his Art Prevails Project members to present some powerhouse talent. The singing was exceptional and the acting was fit for Broadway. A particularly enthusiastic dance scene between Mama Mattie (SheKendra Parrish) and granddaughter, Keisha, (Na'Zyia Williams) was a joy to share. Even though the topic is a serious one, every scene is infused with humor and brightness. While the main character, Terrance, seeks to find ways to move forward with his career as a musician, he ruminates about an absent father in his youth. After struggles and growing success he finds that "The Goodness That I Seek Is Already Inside of Me". We left the theater feeling uplifted.

This was a delightful and insightful play on a subject that needs to be discussed in a variety of venues. This approach to the subject matter was informative as well as entertaining. The acting was top shelf.

This play was amazing! Brilliant script, gifted writer & cast. The setting was perfect and play a total experience. If not for prior engagements, I would have attended every session. I loved the main character (I am very biased), and see all the cast as family. I would so love to see this play get the national attention that it deserves. If I had the money I would take it to the nations. Bravo, Art Prevails. Hang on for the ride ahead Darius Daughtry, the Best Is Still Yet To Come.

Beautifully written, exceptional Acting, Xaire’s vocals left me in awe. Would absolutely go see this again!
