My daughter and I went to the play.. what a great evening we had!! The play was fantastic!! Ms. Hannigan was a great drunk. The orphans were perfect. Sandy was well behaved and of so cute. We were in the second row and enjoyed everything the play had to offer, including the view of the gentleman playing the guitar in the orchestra!!
This performance was wonderful. The live orchestra made you feel like you were watching the show on broadway. I absolutely recommend seeing it
The performance of Annie was fabulous! We took family, including my 6-year old granddaughter. We all LOVED it! The quality of the performers was outstanding, the choreography was wonderful, and the sets were artful and moved efficiently. It's a great event for the whole family!
I hadn't been in the Safe Credit Union Performance Hall previously, and was very impressed. Sight lines were good, lighting and sound were at a professional level. Let's start up with the good stuff - Mrs. Hannigan (sorry don't have my program so will use stage names) was good. The orphanage children did a good job also. Oliver Warbucks was adequate - I think a stronger singing voice is needed to project the strength and command that character needs to show. Annie was below par. The singing was average, the acting brought little to the show. And the dog! Why even have it in the show is it's only job is to trot out occasionally so the audience could say aww... If it is too hard to train a real dog to do something interesting, really funny things could be done with a puppet or marionette dog. Overall, considering what I paid for the tickets, I was disappointed. I have to add though that my 40-year-old granddaughter and my 15-year-old great grandaughter both enjoyed the show. But they haven't seen as many really good stage musicals as I.
Annie was fantastic. My kids 4 and 6 never blinked. The Annie character was incredible!!!
This musical was way better than I expected. This is an older production and I just assumed it would be slow. I had never seen any in person and I’m so glad that I got tickets to this one. The sets and the music were fantastic. The costumes were so true to the era. The little girl who sang Annie and several others. Their voices are amazing. They’re gonna be rock stars when they get older, if it’s in your area, you should definitely try to see it.
Great show. The little girls were so talented. Loved sharing Annie with my granddaughter.
This was a wonderful production with a full orchestra, great acting, and vocal performances. I've seen several live productions of Annie and BPC's was excellent. It was better than what I saw in Chicago and was right here at home in Bloomington! Hearing the children in the audience express their engagement with excitement and song was heart warming. We were so glad that we had decided to attend this 5-star performance.
My daughter and I absolutely loved it! The cast and music was great! Just wished it would have started earlier than 7pm. We had to leave early because it was a school night.
The cast did a great performance of Annie. The family enjoyed it. It was our first time watching it local and can’t wait to see if any other Broadway productions come to Bloomington.
