Overall a cool experience

Aspiring musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, rappers and spoken word artists try their best to please the audiences that can make them an Apollo Legend. Get ready to cheer or jeer as you decide who stays and who gets booted off stage. At Amateur Night, you tell the performers to be good or be gone!
Amateur Night at the Apollo is hosted by the comedian Capone. Each show begins with a festive pre-party featuring video and music by DJ Jess. Also, keep a lookout for master impressionist C.P. Lacey, the resident Executioner who sweeps bad talent off the stage.

I was in NYC for a week and the opening night happened to be on a night I had nothing planned so I had to go! The host was SO FUNNY and some of the artists were INCREDIBLE! I had so much fun and I love that I got to keep the "BOO - YAAS"sign as a souvenir. Absolutely amazing night!
We all enjoyed the talented, and not so talented contestants
Apollo never fail to deliver a good night out. Always fun!
Thrilled to be at the iconic Apollo, however the long running talent show left a lot to be desired. Meant to be fun and interactive, it played out more like a mean spirited screamfest. Amazing talents were sometimes over shadowed by the audience participation. Finally, with the overbearing heat of the building and the crowd we had to leave.
The grand finale of Amateur Night at the Apollo was nothing short of delightful. The lineup of talent was long and diverse, showcasing a wide range of skills and performances. The DJ preshow and intermission were vibrant and entertaining, creating an infectious energy that had me and many others up on our feet dancing. The inclusion of contestants from Japan added a unique and inclusive touch to the event. The evening featured a variety of acts, including song, spoken word, and dance, keeping the audience thoroughly engaged. In the end, Cruz Angel took home the big payout, and he was truly deserving of the win! My husband and I had a fantastic date night and left with wonderful memories. Highly recommend this event to anyone looking for an entertaining and memorable experience!
My wife and i visit the city annually, one place we are sure to go is the Apollo. We love the host, the band, the dj, and most of all the energy is incredible.
Need more improvement bring back the old days and need air conditioner and more organized with people
My wife and I were on our annual trip to NYC to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and as usual we visited, The Apollo. We enjoyed amateur night, we enjoyed the dancing and most of all hanging out with the host Capone.
Omg! I'm from California and this is the second time coming to the Apollo. Each and every time I've had a blast! I laugh throughout the entire event. The host and band have amazing energy and keep it going throughout. I'll be back next year! Thanks for showing a great time!
