Humphrey’s is a great concert venue; UB40 is an outstanding band. A winning combination. The two person horn section was incredible ! Can’t help falling in love with Ali and the boys.
We always see UB40 with Ali Campbell when they come to San Diego, for a guaranteed evening of live music and FUN. We almost missed this show because the venue promo picture was of the OTHER UB40 band. Very confusing. Ali Campbell is THE VOICE, the G.O.A.T., for UB40. The Astro tribute tour is very special, his recorded voice is used and in a wonderful way. Pato Baton’s special appearance was the cherry on top. More horns next time!! Great show, don’t miss it!
We checked in and went for drinks at Humphreys restaurant while We waited for our dinner reservation. The dinner didn’t flow as smooth. We were one of the first seated but didn’t get our entrees until much later. Had to ask for bread because we were waiting longer than others. Once dinner was done, we grabbed more drinks and went to look for our seats. We sat in the second row middle section but the seats were lawn chairs conjoined together so it was a tight space. The concert was amazing and overall the night was memorable. Would definitely recommend!
First time at Humphreys….what a great venue. UB40 was amazing and very nostalgic. My husband and I had the best time! Will definitely see another concert here.
Any seat is a good seat. Nothing better than a band that is on point. Very talented musicians, and the vocals! Just like the records. The rendition of Prince’s Purple Rain (big Prince fan) made the night even sweeter.
Lots of great songs, plus new songs and a suprise, the whole evening was fun , everybody dancing and enyoing the concer and the venue a great place
Absolutely the best night out I have had in years. UB40 were so amazing and sounded exactly like they did in the 80’s ! Took me right back to Hammersmith. Beautiful venue, fantastic crowd and I am still buzzing about it 3 days later !! Go and see them you will not be disappointed!
The night was awesome!! The bands were great and of course, when Ali Campbell came on, the crowd went mad!!! Great performance and I will see them again.
