Disney’s ALADDIN?is a dazzling and extravagant showcase of special effects — including a flying magic carpet?during “A Whole New World” — as well as glittering-gold costumes and art deco-style sets that mirror the grandeur of a Busby Berkeley musical. One of Broadway’s most popular musical comedies, the show opened at the legendary New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, and has since broken numerous house records (grossing over $500 million on Broadway). Eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken composed the show’s music. The lyrics are by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), as well as three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice and six-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin. The book is by Beguelin and direction/choreography is by two-time Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw.???

The New Amsterdam Theatre is located on 214 West 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. There is no designated on-site parking. However, there are numerous parking options in the Broadway Theater District. Here's a link to a Google map display of the various options in the Times Square area.

Great show and amazing performers. It was a night full of colors, joy, and songs and for our first experience in a Broadway theater we couldn't have asked for more. PS. We are still wondering how the magic carpet managed to fly...
The Genie felt tired in my performance. Like he was literally tired. Kids likely won’t notice but this didn’t feel like a broadway caliber performance. There are better shows on right now!
I thought it was a show for kids but it's like Disney; you can never be to old, and every time you see it or experience it it has a child like impact that we are born with. My girl loved it. It was her first Broadway play and now she's asking me when are we going to another play? The orchestra seats were awesome.
It is the most magical and awesome show. It is my 2nd time watching this musical and it doesn’t disappoint!
I took my daughter to see this show. In my mind I was going to try to sleep because I have never cared for a live musical. Once the show started, I found myself at the edge of my seat filled with amusement till the very end. I tell everyone in my family that they must go see this show. My husband and I had the immense pleasure of attending the absolutely stunning performance of Aladdin at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Sunday 29 September 2024. This being our first visit to NYC from our homeland in Australia, we were so wanting to experience a live show on Broadway. The theatre itself is exquisite and our seating was ideal, centred in the 'Orchestra' section. The stage settings were most impressive, the costuming was fabulous both in colour and detail and the orchestra was top-class. The cast performances were outstanding, in their acting ability, their vocals and their movement. We particularly enjoyed the humour in the show and the extraordinary performance of the actor in the role of the genie. Thank you very much for a most memorable evening!
An absolute must see if only once in your lifetime! Colorful, magical, and amazingly wonderful! A fantastic show for all ages! I would rate it 10 stars if I could. However, only one drawback; I wish they would just take a percentage of their ticket sales and apply that to their cause, instead of asking the audience for a donation at the end of the show.
Such an incredible show, we all loved it! The entire cast was phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Took my grandkids and my two daughters to see Aladdin on Sunday. We were all blown away by the beautiful voices, the incredible costumes and the amazing set designs This is a show for all ages and perfect for a holiday treat for the family!

Splendid scenery and magnificent costumes. Even tough the story is well known, the actors, specifically the genius, could take into account the fact that non-English-speaking tourists are attending the show and therefore articulate more so that every sentence could be understandable.

A truly impressive show, impressive in every sense, lighting, sound, music, acting, costumes... BRUTAL!!!
We enjoyed the show. Nice theater (little legspace though, if you are blessed with tall legs, choose a chair next to the aisle). Although the musical is entertaining, we were not blown away, except for the geenie who was excellent and very funny.
The theatre is dirty. The acting was clumsy. We left halfway.
The scene objects and effects needs improvements. After seen Harry Potter on Broadway made it kinda poor. Cast saved the show
The performers executed their roles well, especially genie but the set design was very lacking. They used a lot of curtains versus actually pieces to make their sets and this really took away from the experience. The magic carpet scene was well executed but other than that, I was disappointed.
