Atlanta Falcons Team History
The Atlanta Falcons joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1966. Since their start, they’ve won six division championships and have appeared in two Super Bowl games (1999 and 2017). The Falcons began play in the former Georgia Dome in 1992, where they defeated all other 31 NFL teams at least once during their time there. In 1998, they had their best season to date, finishing 14-2 and winning the NFC West.
The Falcons played their final match at the Georgia Dome on January 22, 2017, beating the Green Bay Packers 44-21 to win the division title. Upon completion of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Falcons opened their new home with a preseason game in August 2017.

Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Located in Atlanta, the 71,000-capacity Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) opened in 2017. Built as a replacement for the Georgia Dome, Mercedes-Benz Stadium was constructed completely with the fan experience in mind. Wide concourses give fans the ability to freely move around the stadium on any level.
MBS is one of the most sustainable and environmentally-conscious sports venues in the world. After achieving LEED Platinum certification upon completion in 2017, MBS focused on implementing operations to create a zero waste environment. As part of its sustainability initiatives, MBS developed and implemented a variety of green practices, such as water conservation, energy conservation, recycling and compost, alternative transportation, an urban garden, and agriculture programs.
MBS became the first sports and entertainment venue to achieve LEED Zero certification in any category which can only be achieved if a venue has achieved LEED Platinum, and the first Stadium worldwide to achieve official TRUE Platinum certification for zero waste. The diverted materials are reduced, reused, recycled, composted and/or recovered to curb the Stadium's overall environmental footprint.

Really enjoyed the vibe at the game…. Good food. Good drinks.
I’m a huge NFL fan, my team is the Philadelphia Eagles. I just happened to be in Atlanta this past weekend and decided to go watch an exciting NFL game. Not to mention, this was my very first time actually going to an actual NFL game. Going to an NFL game in Atlanta was DIFFERENT, I mean it was an amazing experience. And what’s funny is that it’s right next to State Farm Arena, where the Atlanta Hawks play at. Going to the stadium, everything went smoothly. I had no issues at all. If I’m ever in Atlanta again during the NFL season, best believe I’m going back.
Even though Falcons Football tix are very expensive, this game was certainly worth all the hype. As a 39 year Falcons Season Tix Holder, this game was "certainly up there,"as 1 of the best! Exciting win for our Dirty Birds @ the 11th hour and last Second with a field goal. Seats on 127C, Row 7 were great on the 30 yard line, and the Falcons' folk around me were engaging and welcoming! I loved being active in watching the game, as well as, my 15 yr. old radio earphones, to hear the game. I will certainly use Ticketmaster again for another game. Hopefully, with rivalries in the 1st few games, the $ price of tix will go down some, especially around the 40 yard line.
There were not any food stands outside and it was a super quiet stadium experience
This was my first game and it was better than I thought it was going to be. I definitely want to go again
We enjoyed the game. The stadium was nice and there were even free hot dogs that night! Just know if you are in the upper rows in the 300s, you will not be able to see the Jumbotron so watch closely because you will not see a replay. The good news is, if you are in 312 or 313 on the Home side, your view is actually still pretty decent because you can fully see game play.
I was surprised the Falcons' organization offered free hotdogs and soda. Need to open the roof on non rainy days because the stadium was musty.
It was great seats and easy to find in the stadium.
For the price the seats were awful. Way too high. Couldn’t even see the giant ring scoreboard to see replays. Just wasn’t a good experience at all
