Atlanta Dream History
The Atlanta Dream are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 2008, the team's name pays homage to Atlanta native Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have a Dream" speech. Despite the Dream’s relatively recent introduction to the league, the team has qualified for the WNBA Playoffs nine times and reached the WNBA Finals in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Notable players in the team's history include two-time Olympic gold medalist Angel McCoughtry and three-time All-Star érika de Souza.

Atlanta Dream at Gateway Center Arena
The Gateway Center Arena, home of the Atlanta Dream, is a multipurpose arena located in College Park, Georgia. The 3,500-seat facility began construction in 2018 and has hosted the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League since its opening in 2019. The Dream joined in 2021 after previously playing at State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.

The Atlanta Dream’s 2024 regular season tips off in May at The Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California against the Los Angeles Sparks. One week later, the Dream host a 2023 playoff rematch for their home opener against the Dallas Wings on May 21. by Phoenix on 9/3/24My 7yr old daughter and I flew from Miami to see the Atlanta Dream WINS. It was a great experience. She got to see her favorite player( Alisha Gray) live on the court. Amazing experience and we will definitely do that again next year. Thank you Dream Team!!!

by Michael on 8/30/24State Farm Arena - AtlantaOverall I loved the Game itself. However the background noise become so annoying that I doubt I would ever subject myself to that again. The "DJ"implored the crowd to shout "Defense"on almost every single play after the third quarter. This got old. Then there was the incessant of bad rap. They type where they all use the same click track. It takes an understanding of the ebb and flow of a basketball game, and how, when and by how much when trying to rally a crowd. Clearly, whoever designed all this has no clue.

My head was hurting by the end of the night due to the incessant, extremely loud, hip hop music that was played throughout the entire game. I think the only time it stopped was during free throws. My wife’s I watch was constantly warning that the environment was too loud. It was pretty much the same beat/song for 2 straight hours!
