We bought Court Side Row 3 seats assuming the rows would be on different levels similar to the seating at Globetrotter games. However, the first 3 rows were all on the same level and having 2 rows of people directly in front of you it was nearly impossible to see anything. Row 4 was the beginning of the different levels. You may be able to see the game from Row 2 or Row 4 but Row 3 forget it! We could see the action around half-court but nothing around the baskets and had to rely on the in-house TV's. The only thing I could see clearly was the people opposite me with clear views who paid 1/2 of what I paid.
I went to WVU and Saturday December 21 got a great seat.
The event was top quality. The seats were incredible. Parking was available and reasonably priced. I hope more YSU basketball games are played at Covelli Center. Seeing West Virginia that close was a treat.
It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely go back. We have been to many concerts and love this facility
We purchased our seats on the first day they were available. When we got to the game, the seats we purchased (section 208 row d) did not exist. Section 208, in fact, started at row j. After the usher told us to just sit somewhere else and move if someone else had tickets for those seats, I went back to the box office. I was informed that the seats I had purchased would not be available for this venue. However, we were given "upgraded" seats. They were not an upgrade at all. They were higher up and in the middle of the row (not on the aisle as I originally purchased). The game was great. However, the overall experience was disappointing!
I personally think YSU should play all their home games at Covelli. It is more of an arena atmosphere than a gymnasium - which is how I feel at Beeghly. Plus the fact that we had court-side seats just made the experience that much more enjoyable. Only problem was I don't think we actually ended up in our seats. There were no sections or seats marked on the courtside seats. The ushers seemed lost and basically told us to sit "anywhere". We did find four good seats, but there is no way these were our actual assigned seats. But, luckily it all worked out - we ended up with possibly better seats than we should have, the Penguins won big and we had a great time. I would certainly do it again!
