Too loud
by Bonseye on 8/21/24I love Young The Giant and this is the 4th time I have seen them. This show was way, way too loud. Will not be putting myself through that again. They are way too talented to need this volume level.

Critically acclaimed and multi-platinum band Young the Giant returns with their brand new single "Wake Up". The song marks the first glimpse into the group's imminent fifth studio release, American Bollywood. The new material will be released throughout 2022 as a series of four acts titled: Origins, Exile, Battle and Denouement. "Wake Up" is the band's return from the 2018 album Mirror Master which included their single "Superposition" which reached #1 on US Alternative Charts. Young The Giant was established in 2004 and is comprised of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Francois Comtois (drums) and Payam Doostzadeh (bass). The band first broke through with their 2010 self-titled debut album, which featured the RIAA-Multi platinum certified hits, "My Body" and "Cough Syrup". This was followed by the release of 2014's Mind Over Matter, which was both a commercial and critical success. Young the Giant continued to brave new themes and sonic landscapes with their wildly adventurous third album, Home of the Strange. The New York Times proclaimed Lead Singer Sameer Gadhia, "one of the great contemporary rock voices." The band has sold out performances at historic venues such as Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, and more. They have become a festival mainstay at high profile outings such as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Governor's Ball among others.

Young the Giant was amazing but some people in the crowd were distracting at times. There were some girls who were clearly seat-hopping to get closer to the front. Some people in the seated area were standing but not exactly dancing or anything, so it was strange just having people standing there in my line of vision lol. Still, it was a great show and it was such a treat listening to some of my favorite music live.
Show was awesome. Just sucked that we missed 20 minutes of it. The opener didn’t show so the band went on earlier than scheduled. Next time we won’t miss the opener even if it’s someone we don’t really care for. LoL
Young The Giant was amazing! That was the first time for me seeing them! ?? Their stage presence was fire! Great show! Loved the venue!!!
I am a parent and took my two teens to this event. We had the absolute best time! The venue was clean and nice and the staff working were friendly and professional and genuinely seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I love that! We had fantastic seats which were comfortable and easily to get to. (No climbing over people or crammed stadium seats with no leg room.) The set-up of the Anthem is great and it really makes for a fantastic entertainment experience! We attended the DC??101 Winter 101-derland event and the energy and overall experience made for a very memorable night! This was our first event at the Anthem but I would not hesitate to take my teens again or to let them attend an event there with teen friends. It felt very safe and well managed. The bands were energetic and engaging and they put on a great show! It's a great venue! We can't wait to go back!
Young the Giant is one of my most reliable bands to put on a great performance. You can tell when a band is passionate about what they do. Awesome show!
I wanted to rate this five stars but a message is required so here: bip bop
Smooth security/ticket process entering venue. The Anthem is a great place for a concert. The crowd had fun, and so did I. Meet & greet went well, too. Terrific rock night!
This was a phenomenal concert. Young the Giant never disappoints and this time they played as much as they could and as long as they could for us. They are incredible performers and it was such a pleasure seeing them at the Anthem. Not a bad seat in the house!
Young the Giant, along with Lovejoy, Misterwives, and Weathers, all put on a fun show.
