Reggaeton virtuoso Yandel emerged as one of the genre's biggest stars during the '00s with Wisin & Yandel, the duo behind club hits like "Rakata" and "Pam Pam." Flexing his solo muscles in 2013 with a new album, Yandel proved that it doesn't take two to tango —the album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and sparked an international headlining tour. With a dance-heavy set featuring bangers like "Hasta Abajo" and "Fallaron," Yandel floored fans at his 2013 shows, building excitement for another adrenalin-filled round of tour dates in 2014.

Born Llandel Veguilla Malave Saqlazar in Puerto Rico, Yandel joined forces with Wisin in 1998, steadily rising the reggaeton ranks with a series of popular singles released in the early '00s. In 2005 the duo founded WY Records for the release of Pa'l Mundo, their fifth —and most successful —album to date. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Top Latin Albums chart, cementing the duo's reputation among the genre's top brass and paving the way for their respective solo releases. In 2013, Yandel's chart-topping solo effort De Lider a Leyenda was a hit with critics and fans alike, setting the stage for a highly anticipated headlining tour in 2014.

by JRiver on 10/4/18Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleThe Unijams Music Festival event was from 8-11pm. I got to the arena at 9:30pm. I was excited to see De La Ghetto and Yandel. As I got to the door, one of the security service agents told me that there’s some news. The biggest news was that there were about 800 people inside the arena. Yandel wants 3,500 people or else he’s not performing. If he doesn’t perform, then I would get a refund. If he comes out and performs just one song, then I would not be refunded. In the end, he did not show up to perform.

We were forced to stay outside unto 9. We were allowed in to sit wherever we wanted. They had random bum dj's playing no artist. A random local group came on stage arounf 1030. At 11 we were told the show was over amd to leave that yandel and de la ghetto would not be coming out. The whole time we could tell somethi ng wasnt right that the tour group was buying time for some reason. We never had a clear understanding to why they never came out. Very disappointing and a waste of my sat night

The area didn't sold out and he and his management team decided not to show up and got people waiting outside for 2 hours before they said anything.
