Within Temptation, a Dutch symphonic metal band, has recently released the song and video, “Paradise (What About Us?),” from their upcoming album, "Hydra." Fans of this female-fronted band will be treated to a spectacular concert when the group goes on tour in spring 2014. Those lucky enough to get tickets are always in for an unforgettable night, thanks to Sharon den Adel's powerful soprano vocals combined with her partner, Robert Westerholt's rhythmic guitar skills. Their concerts are well known for being a mix of dynamic ballads and symphonic anthems that take full advantage of the group’s musical and performance talents.
The band released their first album, "Enter," in 1997, followed by "Mother Earth" in 2000. "The Silent Force" came out in 2004 and was certified gold in just a week in the Netherlands, Belgium and Finland. It also ended up being certified platinum in the Netherlands. "The Heart of Everything" came out in 2007 to critical success, reaching gold status in three countries and platinum in the Netherlands. It hit number one on the Dutch Albums chart and broke into the US Billboard Top 200, peaking at number 106. "The Unforgiving" album came out in 2011 and was certified gold in Poland. Metal Storm awarded it third place in the 2011 Best Symphonic Metal Album of the Year list. The band’s next project, "Hydra," will feature guest artists Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage, Dave Pirner and Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish singer). Within Temptation will hit the road for a world tour at the end of February 2014, and tickets are now available. The group looks forward to seeing all their fans at the concerts.

Love the band now, Sharon is now my metal crush. Enough said.
I drove 12 hours to see Within Temptation open for Iron Maiden@ North Carolina October 25th, 2022. The arena was ok. Iron Maiden's props were obstructing my view when WT performed. Barely any WT merchandise for sale. Within Temptation only played 8 songs. I understand they were the opening band. I just wished they had more time on stage. WT sounded amazing. Sharon is such a talented musician. I can't wait to see WT again. Overall, one of the best concerts I have been to. Everyone should check them out whenever they tour in the US.
Band was excellent and was great to watch and listen. Venue at Club soda is a little less than desired as it a tunnel layout. MTelus would have been better even if numbers were low.
Within Temptation has been my favorite band for decades at this point, I finally got to see them in March of 2019 and it was amazing. Sharon has such an incredible voice, looking forward to them in North America in Oct. 2022!
Sharon is the best vocal ever. This is best symphonic metal band. If they have schedule on next year again. I will go again.
You know know a concert was phenomenal when the band you went to see performed so good, that you didn't realize until the next day that they didn't play every song that you came to know and love. And this was Within Temptation in Chicago on 3/1/2019 at the House Of Blues in Chicago. From the moment they took the stage with "Raise Your Banner" I knew that the crowd was in for a treat. The band was tight, and Sharon's voice was powerful and sweet as ever! She proved once again, that she is one the best vocalists on Earth! The acoustic version of "Ice Queen" was beautiful and great to hear the oldie but goody " The Promise". The only draw back is there were no songs performed from their debut album "Enter" and only one song from Hydra. But as was stated earlier, I didn't realize this until after the show. Hopefully the next time they are around they can squeeze an extra half hour into time slot and maybe we'll hear those great songs that were greatly missed!!!
I’ve been a huge fan of Within Temptation for 6 years, and this was my first time seeing them live. I was NOT disappointed. They sound amazing, and their energy on stage is truly unique, as is their personnality as a band. They give everything they have in each song. They played a lot of songs, from all their albums, which was really satisfying as an audience member who’s been listening to them for a long time and knows all their songs. Great great night, I’ll definitely go back next time they come to Montreal.
I saw Evanescence a year ago and thought Amy Lee was the best vocalist ever. Now that I heard Sharon Van Adel live again, I believe it is a tie (Sharon’s cold got in the way of being sure)! What an angelical voice. Proud to call her a compatriot.
1st time at the "Fillmore". What a great night, the venue was super, from seating, food, drinks and wait staff, cannot say enough good things. Staff at the doors, inside the venue and exiting were friendly, couritious and helpful. Special thank you to Aaron for all of his help and great communication in arranging premium seating and parking for us and last but not least: "Within Temptation" our friends from Holland just blew us away, this was our 6th time seeing them and the best, they never disappoint and this time was no different even though Sharon was suffering from a cold, she soldiered on to complete a great set. WT thank you again and god bless.
