Utah Jazz History
The Utah Jazz joined the NBA in 1974 as an expansion franchise in New Orleans. They quickly traded for a local favorite, point guard "Pistol" Pete Maravich, who went to college at Louisiana State. Maravich had an entertaining style of playing and won the NBA scoring title in the 1976–77 season.
Logistical issues plagued the team in New Orleans, where the franchise spent only five years, never finishing with a winning record. The Jazz moved to Utah for the 1979–80 season, and they qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 1983–84.
The season after their first playoff berth, the Jazz selected point guard John Stockton with the No. 16 pick in the NBA Draft. The following year, they selected forward Karl Malone with the No. 13 pick. They became one of the best duos in NBA history and anchored the most successful period in franchise history.
The Jazz qualified for the playoffs in 20 consecutive seasons and won 50 or more regular season games in 11 of those seasons. Malone won the NBA MVP Award twice, in 1997 and 1999, and Stockton broke Magic Johnson's career assist record in 1995. He finished his career with 15,806 assists, a record that still stands.
The Jazz advanced to the NBA Finals in back-to-back seasons in 1996–97 and 1997–98, but they faced Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls both times. The Bulls beat them in six games each year. Utah has not been back to the finals since, but they’ve maintained a consistent level of success. They have missed the playoffs just nine times in the last 35 years.

Utah Jazz at Delta Center
Delta Center (formerly Vivint Arena) has gone through several different names, but it has been the home of the Utah Jazz since it opened in 1991. The arena has hosted several notable events, including the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the 2002 Winter Olympics.
The exterior of the arena features statues of point guard John Stockton and forward Karl Malone, who are widely considered the two best players in Jazz franchise history. Stockton spent his entire 19-year career in Utah, while Malone spent 18 years with the Jazz.

The kingdom of jazz brah I came to watch the jazz and I did brah
The app is so user friendly which made the experience really enjoyable.
Overall the game was fantastic! Great basketball players were getting scrappy and it was awesome to see their skill set. We had wonderful front row seats of our section. Good experience!
It is Fantastic to watch a match. it is Magic I Love Utah Jazz
It was great! All the Jazz players played really hard. And I'm so glad they won! I met some new friends at the game, and we had a really great time. Can't wait to go again!
Hello. I am a Jazz fan. My husband a Lakers fan because he was raised in LA. I have purchased tickets for my husband to see LeBron James for the last 5 games (he is a huge fan of LeBron James). However, LeBron has not played in Utah for any of these games. I have spent a lot of money purchasing lower bowl tickets and this has been very disappointing for us. I also purchased these most recent tickets before all the Utah trades. Meaning I overpaid and was not able to see many of my favorite players, Mitchell, Gobert, Bogie, Royce etc. Would you please gift us some tickets to another game because these games have not been what I thought I was purchasing at the time?
Just and awesome experience and going again next week for the Lakers game
Very vanilla arena. Didn’t see much around for kids either. This scan and order thing is clearly inconvenient for both guests and the staff serving the food so why you still keep it is odd.
Wish Bogey’s shot went in. Fun experience and atmosphere. Not great parking options, expensive concessions
Seats were very uncomfortable, and parking for the stadium was a joke compared to most of the league
Buying tickets was simple, access to the arena was easy using the tickets on my phone. Atmosphere was awesome!
Great venue for basketball. We sat in upper bowl for Game 3 and 4 and could see both the live on court action and jumbotron for replays. Would definitely go again when in SLC
Love the playoff experience. It would have been better with a W that night but it’s still fun to go and support the Jazz. The food choices are amazing and the event staff is fantastic!
We loved the game; excitement, good half time entertainment. Overall it was fun game.
Ticketmaster works smoothly without any confusion. We have a perfect evening in every way...the food, the game (except we lost in the 4th quarter), parking, ushers were very accommodating. Great, Great, Great! Can't wait for the next one. :)
Everyone at Vivint arena were very nice and helpful because my daughther had an injured kne. From picking up a wheelchair to staying with us until late so we could do some shopping made us feel special.
Such a fun experience! I’ve been to several game and they never disappoint.
It was a great experience from walking in thr door to, to ordering food, to leaving. The Jazz game was one of the best I've been too.
It was my husband and I's first pro basketball game experience and we were impressed! Getting tickets off of ticketmaster was easy and I was able to put them in my apple wallet easily. We had a pretty good view at the game even while being a little higher up, the food (little Caesars pizza) and the narrative of the game was really exciting. The only thing I didn't care for was how food was ordered and paid for with the QR code. Not sure if it was just a covid thing or what they're starting to do in general but I was not a fan of that method.
