University of St. Thomas Mens Hockey Tickets

A great co-sponsored event with Saint Thomas hosting the U of M Men's and Women's Ice Hockey Teams at the Xcel Energy Center. The arena did an excellent job hosting and the crowd was ENERGETIC!! I'm hopeful this becomes an annual tradition between the cross town rivals.

You could make it more obvious that some seats are in hostile territory, not dangerous, but surrounded by the “home” team’s fans. I thought it would be a neutral stadium.

Everything was great with the exception of parking. We purchased a parking pass in advance which turned out to be $5.00 more than if we purchased the day of event but the biggest issue was it didn’t say which ramp to park in. We went to the wrong ramp initially and the attendant was pissed because we weren’t the first to make that mistake. Unfortunately there wasn’t a name of the ramp and the address given was for the event center. Solution: Clearing state the name and location of the ramp.

This was a lot of fun having the split arena and the double header of the women's and men's hockey games. I really hope that St. Thomas or the U of MN considers doing this on a regular basis in the future.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere for St. Thomas vs. the University of Minnesota for women's and men's hockey. The Xcel Center was a great venue for these games and the celebration of hockey in Minnesota.

My friend and I had a great time at the game but we were not happy as soon as we walked in and we were told we couldn’t bring in our fanny packs - it said nothing about not being able to bring a certain size bag anywhere. We had to pay extra to bag check or bring it back to the car but we parked 15 min away and didn’t have time (and it was raining).

The game was entertaining and the "X"is a fun place to watch a game. The only down side is there quite a few food windows closed.
