The game, venue, and parking were all great. I was disappointed that Ticketmaster warned that the game was almost sold out. The entire upper deck was dark and empty. No where close to sold out. Just be honest and stop the dynamic pricing.
Parking was easy, convenient and cheap. Stadium was a good place to view the game. I was disappointed that there seemed to be only one concession stand for the entire main floor and about 6500 fans. The line was way too long so I passed up on any refreshments to avoid missing most of the exciting second half.
Don't remember the last time I paid $5 to park in Chicago, and it was across the street. Tickets were $20 - for lower level it was good. Sat with other Bradley alums, and enjoyed the game. Concessions were nearby - 16 oz. beer was a bit steep. I will say having UIC in the MVC makes an easier trip from the west burbs than trying to go to Loyola. Will go to more games in the future.
Your stadium is a total snooze fest lowlighted by expensive booze. Pumping noise thru the PA during freethrows? How about pump out some $2 PBR tall boys and make it a little more fun.
We go to lots of UIC basketball games, but this year there’s a lot of empty seats, it’s not crowded and there’s no long lines. Best of all the UIC staff is very grateful for alumni fans that come out and cheer for their favorite team, even inviting us into their hospitality area, making us feel very welcomed.
I took my daughter and her boyfriend’s family to the UIC game last night, and we all had a lot of fun. But have time I found some of my buddies and we grab some beers and hung out in these awesome courtside La-Z-Boy chairs.
The tunnel rails are too high, completely blocking the court views from those sections, especially the closer to mid-court. Scoreboard and screen is oddly on one end only. All this because the arena was designed for concerts, not basketball. Only positive is the close proximity of the parking lot, and it is affordable.
I took my daughter and her best friend to a UIC basketball game. It was their idea because they’re both cheerleaders in high school and they wanted to check out the college cheerleaders. There was parking in a secure garage for just five dollars. No line to get in and we were in our seats within minutes. We had three seats right up front on the floor, so very close to all the action! The only downside was the long line at the concession to get some popcorn and a Pepsi.
Although my Anteaters didn't extinguish the Flames as I had hoped, it was still fun to see my team live and in person. The venue is great. Food is good. The only odd thing was the parking deal the website gave me three blocks away when there was a perfectly good parking lot right next store? Nevertheless, my fellow alumni and I had a lot of fun!
