Why did this go ahead when the organisers would have been aware of a life threatening storm.
As the title says, the saw doctors were incredible. One of the best shows we've seen in a long, long time. The crowd was absolutely going wild and the band was on point.
Had a ball at the Saw Doctors (and the Coronas!) At Central Park Summer Stsge, the guys were rocking out and the crowd were loving it, despite the heat and humidity... the only problem with the gig was it had to be cut short due to dangerous thunder and lightning storm...but even walking through the Park like it was 'End of Days' was an experience in itself ?? Looking forward to my next (hopefully full length) Saw Doctors gig soon!
The Saw Doctors were an amazing Irish Rock group - Great sound! They played for more than 2 hours straight. The venue was slow to run the crowd thru security so that most did not know about the opening act or see it even if they arrived early. The bathrooms were terrible. There was never any TP even before the concert started. The standing room only is ridiculous and I am sure there were too many people violating the fire code. The venue needs to make safe, logistical accommodations for the overwhelming crowd requesting Uber taxis at the end of the night..
Tried to contact Aragon Ballroom with non-FAQ questions. No email listed, nobody to answer the phone. Left a message that was never returned. Day of show, they were unprepared for the crowd - line was 3 blocks long and most folks missed the opening act. No water bottles available for purchase by those who weren't drinking - only option was grossly overpriced carbonated water. Should have plain water for sale. Overall, the venue is very poorly run.
The Saw Doctors always put on a great show and this was no exception. I just wish the acoustics were better in the Aragon Ballroom so the music would sound better. They also oversold the event - much too crowded in there.
This was a band I was unfamiliar with before coming to the show on the recommendation of friends. Very much enjoyed the show
Show was great. The Saw Doctors are an iconic Irish band and "I hope we'll meet again." Regarding tickets, I will never buy early tickets from Live Nation again as half the crowd paid 1/3 what I did due to promomotions. Why buy early when I can wait and go for cheap?
I can't believe that was their last show in Chicago. They need to come back.
Venue was great and the music even better. Went to Ethiopian restaurant down the block beforehand that was surprisingly delicious. Lyft/Uber combo there and back worked like a charm (albeit more expensive on the return). You have to be physically okay for this venue as it's solely standing (altho kind people found a chair for my sister that she shared with another woman as they respectively needed it) and the bathrooms are downstairs. Somewhat a late comer to the Saw Doctors (15 or so years ago), but they surely deliver and played a ton of their beloved standards.
