My wife and I have only seen a few "tribute bands"and to date have never had a good experience with them. However, The Man In Black tribute was top notch! We never had the opportunity to see Johnny Cash in person but felt like if we had, this is what it would have been like. From "Johnny"to every member of the band -- it was 100% professional and top notch. I would certainly go see this show again if I ever had the chance! I also appreciated how he told little stories between some of the songs. Not too much, and not too little -- just a bit of backstory for some of the more famous songs that many may not have known. He and the band worked the stage and ensured that everyone was engaged in the show. I also liked how they reminded us about the gospel side of Johnny Cash -- it was where Cash started and where he ended up in the end. I believe that this "Johnny"has the same faith in a higher power that the real Cash did -- or he was the greatest actor of all time because it certainly felt real. Like the backstories, they did not dwell on religion but did pay the correct level of respect to it because that was what the real Cash would have done, and what he would have wanted here. We also got to hear some of Cash's American Recording songs that I have never heard. Although it won album of the year in 1992, I did not know Cash had a more "rocking"side. The three songs they played from this album reminded me a bit of Doctor John's southern Louisiana style of rock. I was surprised that it was named the country album of the year as it seemed to walk the line between country, southern rock, and that New Orleans style of blues rock known to fans of Dr. John. Overall a great concert and the nearly two hours of non-stop music ended far too early. I could have sat there for another few hours easily! It was THAT GOOD!
Excellent show. Great performance. Would highly recommend anyone to go see the show.
Excellent show with great history of the The Man in Black!
Great band and singer. They were great and the singer did a fantastic job! Great sound and just very fun, interesting and entertaining. This kind of great music and song is hard to come by for sure. You will also learn interesting things about the great Johnny Cash too. You need to see this show. We will go again for sure. You can bring your kids or parents to this show. Everyone will love this great entertainment. Do yourself a favor and have a great night out and go watch this show!!
This was by far the BEST TRIBUTE I've ever seen!! Fantastic performance and I would see this show again!!
This felt more like documentary/biography than a concert. It was nice hearing about his life but I was there to hear his music. I’ve seen better tributes to Johnny Cash that were free and they even included a “June”.
What a wonderful night celebrating the life and legacy of Johnny Cash! Great performance!!
First time attending the event. Well done and very much appreciated the band and performance
Close your eyes and you are transported back in time. This band is talented beyond compare.
