THE MACHINE IN CONCERT:
As one of America's oldest Pink Floyd tribute bands, the Machine have spent more than 25 years honing their craft, and it's paid off -- Spin magazine confirms that they sound "exactly like Pink Floyd." Combining elaborate stage design, a state-of-the-art light and laser show, and end-to-end performances of seminal albums like Dark Side of the Moon, the band faithfully recreates Pink Floyd's legendary live shows in painstakingly brilliant detail. Fans looking for a dose of the Floyd are sure to be "Comfortably Numb" as they soak in the Machine's epic performances on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in the late-'80s, New York-based the Machine arose out of its members' desire to pay homage to their idols in Pink Floyd. Over their years, their dedication and hard work saw them graduate from small bars and clubs to sold-out shows around the world, including festivals like Bonnaroo and Germany's Rock of Ages. With a knowledge of Pink Floyd's catalog that rivals that of the most rigorous Floyd historian, the Machine is known for playing the Floyd's classic hits alongside obscure cuts from darkest corners of their expansive discography. Back on tour in 2014, the band will once again recreate the legendary band's epic stage show with elaborate set designs, state-of-the-art audiovisuals, and marathon sets.
Amazing concert. Pure, raw talent. I melted inside a few times ????
Artpark: chaotic parking, lengthy/delayed admission process, volume adjustments for crowd noise was waaaay too late after intermission, HOT in their yet side doors not opened for airflow. The Machine: volume adjustments for crowd noise was waaaay too late after intermission, NO FEMALE VOCALIST is so disappointing and a necessity to effectively cover Pink Floyd. The Crowd: unbelievably Rude
Art Park was a horrible venue for this fantastic concert! This was at least the third time we saw “The Machine” and they never fail to astound! However, the line to get into the venue was horribly long. No excuse for that. Concert started late, and still not everyone was seated. We hd to let people into our aisle at least three times in the dark after concert started. We won’t be going back to Art Park, and neither should they!
I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in BPO Pink Floyd Concert with the "Machine". It was advertised as a Buffalo Philharmonic concert. Just the opposite. "The Machine", comprised of four (4) instrumentalists (2 guitars, 1 keyboard and 1 drummer), by far, OVERPOWERED the BPO. I could barely hear the orchestra. As far as I'm cocerned, the BPO could have stayed home. It's the first time attending a BPO concert having to wear ear plugs. We left early because it was actually painful on the ears. WASTE OF MONEY, especially paying extra for the convenience of purchasing ticket through Ticket Master.
The machine and Philharmonic were amazing. Interactive and the sound was great. They played a few extra songs at the end. My only complaint is against the venue not the band. It was extremely hot. The art park could have opened the louvers at the sides of the building for fresh air!!! Other than that, I found the venue really nice and clean
Great show but artpark is too hot inside. I dripped sweat the entire show. Get it air conditioned. Won't be back
I absolutely loved this show! I've never seen "The Machine"before and I was very impressed! The Buffalo Philharmonic, as usual, was perfect. The Machine's members were amazing! Each of the vocalists had exceptional voices and were perfect for Pink Floyd's songs. And their drummer was absolutely amazing! The smoke and laser show totally added to the already incredible experience.
Loved the way they setup the drummer up front so we could watch Tahra she is amazing. The band was amazing love the new bass player he adds a lot to the band. This was the 4th time we have seen them never get tired of seeing their performance.
Music was fantastic. The hall was closed up like a dungeon, likely because it rained all day, but it cleared up two hours prior to the concert. It was hat and muggy inside, uncomfortable. Is Artpark not nimble enough to react to improving weather?
I saw Pink Floyd back in the 70s the machine was amazing thought I was back at Madison Sqaure Garden please come back next year ??
