Rocked the House! Awesome show! Would recommend seeing them anywhere, any time.
This was my fifth trip to the club. I've only gone to see acts in the twilight of their careers and BB's of AL are in that category. I am not sorry I went to see them, but they are definitely not what they were. I wish I had seen them a few years earlier. As to the club, everytime I go there I have a problem with the food service. This time I ordered a hamburger (medium) and it took more than a half hour and several reminders to get it delived. When it came it was almost totally cold and rare to the point of being uncooked. The couple next to me ordered the same thing after I did and were finished eating long before I was served. The manager brushed it off to a busy kitchen. I defintely will not eat there again, which is what I said the last time.
These guys are FANTASTIC. Great energy, great selection of songs, and they can still sing.
Blind Boys of Alabama put on a great show, my mom made me go and I was glad. Was one of the best performances I have every seen. I am not a Gospel music fan, but they had me jumping and dancing in my seat ... when they come again, I am going to bring my 15 year old son and some of his friends, because they are that good and they are living history as well ... everyone should see the show
The concert was unbelievable we loved every minute of it . The Christmas songs put you in the spirit and the traditional songs were very inspirational. We would certainly attend another concert and highly reccomend the Blind Boys to others.
Oh my Lord ! This is a 5 year staight Grammy Winning band that can not be missed. Their 6th Grammy is on it's way when the May CD comes out. If you like Gospel music sung by guys who walk the walk, don't be late to this party. If you can't go....buy the CDs. Prepare to be uplifted if you do go. If you are not a believer, go anyway ! Feel what the boys are layin' down and make up your own mind. Shear Fun !
The Blind Boys of Alabama are a tour de force, a combination of high energy, humor and good fun that get even a distinctly northern audience clappin' and hollerin' and laughin' (we were warned they prefer not to have a 'conservative' audience). The sheer joy and energy conveyed by their performances together--even after some 60 years that the 'veterans' have been together--made it a performance not to be missed. If you can bear witness to the Blind Boys of Alabama and not want to clap, stomp, sing and dance, you deserve to live in the cold and dark!
The concert was great!!! These guys have THE best voices and are just SO full of joy. The audience was on its feet dancing and clapping. If you missed it this time, go the next time that they are in town. .
wish we could have gotten up and danced! they rocked the place and their voices were absolutely amazing!
