You will not be disappointed even if you aren't familiar with their music. If you're already a fan it's even better than that! Casey and crew are a great act
First time getting to see my favorite band The Dear Hunter live. They were absolutely incredible and sounded so so good live. Irving Plaza was a dope venue as well. I'll definitely be seeing TDH live again whenever I can.
As always, The Dear Hunter performed wonderfully. I always enjoy the experience. They are as good live as they are on a recording and I will always put effort into going to see them perform. Irving Plaza is a wonderful venue and was glad to see them there.
All Get Out, Delta Sleep, The Dear Hunter all ruled. It was awesome and I wish I could go back in time to see it again
The talent and execution from this band is amazing - they might be the most underrated band ever. Thankfully, it make them more accessible due to the smaller venues. Each song and album has provided songs and music that are so complex and beautiful, that each listen is like enjoying an amazing meal that is a little different (and better and better) each time.
The venue had its own parking spots, the staffing made sure everyone was taken care of, a nice merch booth and beautiful theater. The performances were spectacular and the light crew helped with the vibrant color show to accompany the artists. Great stuff!
The openers were mediocre. All Get Out was basically the same song over and over with terrible lyrics and bad sound quality. They also over extended every action on stage, to the point that the bassist had to dodge the singer when he backed up too far. Would not see them again. Delta Sleep was slightly better quality and sound, but still kind of boring set. The Dear Hunter was great. I was hesitant about this show, as they aren’t a favorite but I still wanted to see them because they were at a close venue. I was pleasantly surprised. Besides a few times when the vocals were warming up, they were extremely solid. I also thought that in between songs they did a surprisingly good job being entertaining and humorous. I completely agreed with their opinion on encores as well, and the monologue that went with it. Most importantly, I would go back to see them again. The Dear Hunter was a 5, but their openers were a 2.
I always try to go to The Dear Hunter's concerts whenever I can, they are easily my favorite group to listen to, and hearing them live is always a special treat. The venue was gorgeous as well, I had never been to the Neptune Theatre and it was beautiful. I can't wait to see them live again next time! I was sore the next day from just how hard I was rocking, so you know it was a good time.
The sound quality was atrocious. First opener nearly blew our ear drums out because the microphone kept squealing and the bass was far too high. Could barely hear the dude singing. Literally left before the Dear Hunter performed because the sound quality was so so bad.
