The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at it's very best - gritty, loud, and in your face.
Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker, the album that put them on the map. Upon their return from the road, they knew they needed something new to show for their lost time. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out March 15, 2024.
Great live performance! Band was in outstanding! So much energy!
The Black Crowes NEVER disappoint!!! If you haven't seen them live, you're missing out!!! I've seen them at least 50 times.... Many different states....
Love the Crowes but they needed a sound check. I literally couldn't hear on the drive home, ears were still buzzing the next day.
Great venue! Very good show. i bought my tickets at the last second. i loved this band growing up with them. Same age as me, loved them as the original rock and roll band. They wrote the songs and music but there was something about brothers in a rock and roll band way back. Very good show from the brothers Robinson. Band was great too. Live long and proper, folks.
I loved hearing the great music from the Black Crows. The venue is beautiful, recently redone. Seating comfortable though lines for drinks were backed up for most of the concert. The music itself was great. When the band played loud, vocals were muffled. When the songs were softer the vocals were much more clear. I hope they get that figured out.
I love the black crowes. I couldn’t wait to see them live. We were in the middle floor 1/3 the way from the stage. Sound should have been good. We found too loud and over modulated. Couldn’t understand any of the singing. Fire the sound guy
My first time attending a concert at this venue. I was impressed with the layout and the ease of access from the parking area. The concert area was awesome, not a bad seat in the house. Bathrooms and bars are easy to find and easy to get to. We had a great time at the show. Very impressed!
It was a good selection of songs. They don't interact with the crowd. Or smile at all. Overall 3 stars out of 5.
The Black Crowes put on a goo performance with quite a bit of new material and a good amount of past hits. Volume was pushing 115 decibels so it was too loud for me. May be a problem with the venue instead of the band, as Big and Rich was also too loud at the venue.
This was our 3rd time seeing The Black Crowes and they always put on a great performance. This was also a great performance, but the sound was sub par. I'm not sure if it was the venue or the sound system, but the sound was muffled and not clear. It was like I had cotton balls in my ears (which I did not). My husband had the same experience. Also, on my Ticketmaster tickets it said that the show started at 8:00 p.m. We arrived at our seats at 7:45 p.m. and the opener was almost finished with their performance. I'm not sure when they started, but they finished their set at 8:10 pm. Very disappointed that we missed the opening act. I received no notification that it was starting any earlier than 8:00 either. Everything else was great, but we will not be returning to this venue.
The black crowes still put on a great show. Chris still has a beautiful voice. Great show.
First time seeing The Black Crowes! They ROCKED it OUT!!! They played some great hits and some I never heard! Love the venue!
They came out with skeleton costumes and the glitter on Chris’s hat was a nice touch! I would see them again any day!
They put on a fantastic show mixing old and new. I've seen them many times and they never disappoint!
Good concert but to long of o wait for beverages, I don’t understand why they don’t have more venders .
Great seats Great band Horrible sound Too loud and not clear Probably won’t go back
Only 2 complaints, all other aspects of show were great. Bands song selection could have been better. No need for all of Halloweened-themed, spooky tunes. BC have a great catalogue of music and more typical BC tunes would have improved show. Perhaps I'm showing age, but it sound was way too loud. Some of songs are very nuanced and the volume made the nuanced imperceptible. Great venue ...for an arena.
These guys put on an amazing show, Chris has pipes like no other and probably the best stage presence of any frontman out there! Can't wait to see them again!!
The line ups for bar, concert promo items were crazy! needed more locations set up for promo shirts to purchase, had to leave the show to get these items during quieter times. The bar line up in the mezzamine was an hour in length. very disappointing for many. The opener was ok. The Black crowes were amazing and the setting was great, perfect seats, perfect view and the music did not disappoint.
Absolutely an amazing concert. Sound, view was perfect. Best show I've seen in the last 10yrs.
