For a 2 pm kickoff we were with sight of the stadium at 1:20. And by within sight I mean about 100 yards away. From that point it took nearly an hour to park the car. Nearly every lot was closed and by the time we were sent around to the other side if Lincoln Financial Field into a lot that costs $40 (that is not a typo) we missed nearly the entire first quarter. Also, Temple charges NFL prices for concessions ($16 for 2 20 oz. sodas). The game itself was fine and they try to do a nice job. But the parking mess as well as the cost of parking made this a trip we won't be making again.
As a football fanatic it was nice to catch a Temple game at a state of the art NFL stadium for a great price. The place was not crowded and I could watch the game eith no issues. Food is a bit pricey but that's expected. Overall good time.
The Temple Football game was very fun. There is no better place to watch football than the Lincoln Financial Center. The field conditions and staffing were great, and the place was clean. We are going back for the night game.
We enjoyed our day at the Eagles stadium. The Temple fans were very receptive. We enjoyed being home for the day.
Given that the Owls football has to be held at the Linc, I believe that some of the food vendors should be discounted and you might be able to have larger attendance, especially students.
Temple football attendance is sad. They sould save money and drop a level and play at the D1AA level like Nova, and Ivy League. More fans at PIAA district 1 Football games.
Temple sporting events are great for families. Its always a fun crowd of people and affordable..
After years of thinking I should, I took my 11year-old grandson to Friday night’s SMU tilt. The score was a disappointment, but experiencing the venue was a blast! I’m embarrassed to admit I’d never been to the Linc before. My wife is an Owl, class of ‘75, and we used to go to games up on North Broad. I remember guys like Steve Joachim, Randy Grossman and especially hall-of-gamer Joe Klecko. These days, Hassan Reddick is making me Temple proud to be sure! I will be back to more Owls games, but next time I’m only buying one bucket of Chickie’s & Pete’s Crab fries ($20 for French fries)?!?! That’s ludicrous!
First off Temple Owls played a great game!!! The school Mascot, camera crew really interacts with the crowd! My kids had a tremendous experience at the game! They got to get on the field and catch passes, take pictures with cheerleaders, and Hooter! Overall a wonders experience!
