Played a lot of Bob Seger, which was fine. I thought he dragged the songs out too long and the end. Play the song and move on. Did a couple of original songs. Only played for an hour, then 1 encode. WAY to short for my tastes.
Very short show. Looked like he was just going though the motions. Music was ok. Was not impressed by his engagement Vince
We really enjoy concerts at The Lyric & was able to get great tickets for this concert.
I was really hired to go see Taylor Hicks ar Lyric Theatre. First off the Lyric seats aren't made for tall people or people with disabilities. The person selling drinks didn't have any help and the wait was very long. Then he was charging a different price than what was on the board. The concert was 8 to 10 and they had about a 30 min break in between songs. I think they played about 5 songs and 1 Christmas song. Parking was crazy because the Alabama theater had white Christmas going on. Just overall disappointed with a $118 price tag. He still sounded good though.
3rd time we’ve been to Taylor Hicks concert! It was great as always!!!
We flew that day from Boston to Birmingham to see him and his concert. He spent time with us at the meet and greet and made us feel so special.
My husband and I enjoyed our date night out however, we had difficulty understanding when he spoke like he was too close to the mic. Everything ran together. It's great to see hometown talent in a great venue like the Lyric.
We had great seats in the balcony and the sound was very well balanced. Loved his rendition of everyday dooby song plus his new music was great.
I thought this was going to be a Christmas show. It definitely was not. I was very disappointed. The 2nd half of the show Taylor performed much better than the short first half. I will spend my money on someone else next time.
It was billed as Doobie Brothers/Christmas. The Doobie songs were fantastic. He only played one Christmas song at the end - that was a disappointment. The show started around 8:15...took an average intermission. Came back and played a few more songs. The show lasted approximately an hour. Not at all what I was expecting. Even though Taylor puts on an excellent show, has a great voice and is very entertaining. The show wasn't what I was expecting as billed.
