Talisk on Tour
Scottish band Talisk are a three-instrument whirlwind of folk music craftsmanship comprised of Mohsen Amini, Benedict Morris and Graeme Armstrong. The award-winning and chart-topping trio are known for their high-energy, genre-bending electric performances. As one of the most in-demand folk bands, these accomplished musicians are setting the folk scene afire.
They released their critically acclaimed debut album, Abyss, in 2016. Their sophomore album, Beyond (2018), reached No. 1 on the iTunes World Music Chart and racked up scores of five-star reviews. They released their third album, Dawn, in 2022. Their 2022 hit single "Echo" has more than 3 million streams. In 2017 they won Folk Band of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards. In 2018 they received the largest music prize in Scotland, the Belhaven Bursary for Innovation in Scottish music.
In an interview with American Highways, Amini said, "We generally take a light tech wherever we go. It's more like an EDM concert when you come to see Talisk rather than a traditional folk concert." The best of both worlds? It certainly sounds like it. Get tickets to see the fleet-fingered Talisk when they come to a city near you.
