They need to open more concession stands. It’s ridiculous that you need to go down a level to get food.
Easy entry, good seats , great drink and good items
This tourney is pretty well run; good in-arena entertainment, decent amount of free stuff in the convention center, good basketball. More than most conference tourneys, you'll end up having to sit in your assigned seat. SDSU fans flood the place, even when they aren't playing (there is some priority system for future tickets that incentivizes showing up to as many games as possible). If you're an SDSU fan, it is cool. If you aren't, that gets annoying. That said, for a fanbase that overruns a place, they are fairly polite and reasonable. Don't buy the parking ticket if you have any walking ability at all, the arena is adjacent to a baseball stadium and the baseball lot is free and maybe a 1000-foot walk at most.
This event is well organized and entertaining! Given the central location of the venue to all of the teams, there just can’t be a better place, and Sioux Falls has all the food and shopping one could ask for. My one grievance would be a lack of healthy food alternatives, although there were veggie trays and meat and cheese trays available the last couple of days, which we appreciated! We enjoyed a fantastic week of basketball!
Venue is great. They did change the time to enter the arena from 1 hour before tip-off to 45 minutes before. No signage stating that change. A little annoying but no deal breaker. Staff was very friendly and always courteous. It is a well run tournament with most games on time. Concessions are varied with lots of choices. One negative was the restrooms were not taken care of very well. Waste baskets overflowing and wet floors. Not their usual clean environment. Leaving the venue was usually easy and quick. Always had sufficient traffic control folks even though it was pretty chilly most evenings. Four of us had a great time. We will be back.
Tournament was very well organized. Will attend again next year.
Had to wait & wait to purchase tickets. Finally could purchase and then all four seats had obstructed views. Loved the tournament and the people but the seats were awful.
Hires were very friendly and helpful about finding my seat.
Food selection is minimal and extremely expensive. The price we understand as that's what happened since COVID. Food quality is awful, I'd only recommend the pretzel if it's fresh. The bar drinks are good! We understand air circulation needs to occur, but many people are extremely cold. It's sad when you have to wear scarves to keep your neck warm and are considering ear muffs or a stocking hat. Dress warm as this drawback probably can't be avoided.
