Straight No Chaser Concert Schedule
Straight No Chaser is a professional acapella group that began as a student singing group at Indiana University in 1996. Their fourth EP, Six Pack: Volume 3, was released in July 2017. Straight No Chaser tours include the 2017 Speakeasy Tour, 2017 Double Feature Tour, 2016 I'll Have Another... 20th Anniversary World Tour, 2015 The New Old Fashioned Tour, 2013 Under The Influence Tour, 2014 Happy Hour Tour, 2013 Straight No Chaser Tour, 2012 Straight No Chaser Tour and the 2010 SNC Winter Tour. They toured extensively during their early years together, playing at venues like the Old National Centre, and took periodic breaks from their demanding touring schedule to perform in residence at the Harrah's Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Straight No Chaser live shows aren't what you'd expect from an all-male a capella group. Their shows are filled with comedy, cheeky choreography, cool lighting and a capella versions of today's Billboard hits, regardless of genre. All Straight No Chaser's albums have charted on the Billboard charts, with 2013's Under The Influence being their highest charting album today at No. 28. Straight No Chaser won the CARA award for Best Holiday Album for their 2008 release Holiday Spirits and was nominated for Best Holiday Song "Carol Of The Bells" from the same album.
Straight No Chaser Background
Straight No Chaser started off as an a capella group at Indiana University. In 2007, a 1998 video of the group singing "The 12 Days of Christmas" of Christmas went viral on YouTube and led to Craig Kallman, CEO of Atlantic Records, offering them a five-album record deal. The original line-up consisted of Dan Ponce, Randy Stine, Charlie Mechling, Steve Morgan, Jerome Collins, Dave Roberts, Walter Chase, Mike Itkoff and Patrick Hachey. Their name was inspired by Thelonious Monk's 1967 album Straight, No Chaser. Current members of Straight No Chaser include Randy Stine, Michael Luginbill, David Roberts, Charlie Mechling, Jerome Collins, Walter Chase, Sargon Isho, Tyler Trepp and Steve Morgan. The band's success has led to appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, a PBS Christmas Special and a residency at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City.
