Sting is a 17-time Grammy-winning artist and a founding member of the pioneering new wave band The Police. Born in Wallsend, England, Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. Sting, became one of the best-selling artists of all-time as the bassist and frontman of The Police. The band released five studio albums and six Top 10 singles, including the Sting-penned No. 1 hit “Every Breath You Take,” before disbanding in 1986. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, and their 2008 reunion tour was the third highest-grossing tour of the ’00s. Since releasing his 1985 solo debut The Dream of the Blue Turtles, Sting has been recognized with a British CBE and an Emmy, featured at the Kennedy Center Honors and inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also received four Oscar nominations, and his 2014 Broadway musical The Last Ship, which was inspired by his childhood and featured music and lyrics by Sting, was nominated for two Tony Awards. A constant experimenter of genres including jazz, pop, classical and world music, Sting won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2019 with Shaggy for their 2018 collaborative album 44/876.

Sting's performance was excellent and like always The Pavilion was a comfortable place for enjoying good music. But, I think that concerts on Sundays should start earlier than 8:45 pm.
Great show. Sting sounded great. He cant hit all the notes like he used to, but he knows what he has and uses it. The band did a great job as well as his opening act Joe Sumner.
I totally enjoyed Sting - he and his son and band didd a great job. The workers at Cynthia Woods were plentiful and helpful. No one searched my clear purse I bought especially for the event. I was a little surprised that the people next to me didn't come until 1/2 way through the concert and they were drunk and then they left again . Overall a very well behaved audience. I wanted to go out the same gate where I came in but that didn't work - they wouldn't let me go back into the seating area after I walked out the other way. But luckily I did find my way back to my car. Since I'd gone alone I was a little concerned. But it was well lit and lots of folks around to help. Cynthia Woods is a great place for a concert - I drove all the way from Dallas on my own to see it.
Sting played a wide assortment of his solo work and hits her wrote while in the Police. His songs are his greatest strength. He sounded and played excellently. His son, Joe Sumner, opening was a nice addition, and their due on "King of Pain"was outstanding!
Thoroughly enjoyed Sting. However, the price paid for the premium package was definitely not worth it. This package consisted of early entry, some (so-so) snack food, a couple of drinks, a small embroidered blanket and a small, pick-shaped souvenier on a lanyard. And I thought the photo op would be something more than a concert decoration. Not really worth it.
A beautiful night for an outdoor concert. Sting gave the fans just what they wanted. The hits. The Police stuff, the solo stuff. A great husband and wife date night.
That was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. His voice is still as strong and amazing as it has ever been. The concert was well paced. Can’t wait to see him again!
I LOVED Sting’s concert! My family and I went to see him and it was great! He played and looked great! His son was also good too! I felt like I was able to experience what it was like to see him perform back in the day! This is definitely a concert my family and I will never forget!??
Everything was perfect. Sting performance, the sound quality, the venue, the food selection.
