SPOON IN CONCERT:
Veteran art rockers Spoon continue to enjoy both indie cred and mainstream popularity, entering their third decade together as one of independent music's most visible crossover successes. As creative in concert as they are in the studio, the band has earned a reputation as a consummate live act, consistently thrilling fans on their critically acclaimed tours with ambitious renditions of fan favorites like "I Turn My Camera On" and "Stay Don't Go". Whether they're treating ticket buyers to cuts from 2014's They Want My Soul or covering bands like the Smiths and Guided by Voices, Spoon brings a passion and energy to the stage that always elevate their shows to the next level.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Spoon was formed in Austin in 1993 by lead singer and guitarist Britt Daniel and drummer Jim Eno. Following a 1994 EP release the band signed to Matador Records, debuting their first full-length album Telephono to mixed reviews in 1996. By the time the band released the Soft Effects EP in 1997 they had begun to hone in on the more polished, minimal sound they would become known for, but it wasn't until they released the album Girls Can Tell in 2001 that they finally achieved breakthrough success. A string of critically and commercially successful albums followed throughout the decade, including two No. 1 records on the Top Independent Albums chart -- 2005's Gimme Fiction and 2007's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. With their highly anticipated eighth album They Want My Soul hitting shelves in 2014, Spoon has fans eagerly awaiting their next live shows.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Spoon was excellent. Tight, professional. Brit rocked the house. They played old as well as new material."
"I highly recommend seeing them live, because they're fantastic musicians and they play a very interesting set as compared to their albums."
"Spoon's show was as awesome and intricate as their complex studio albums! To be able to pull off the complexity of their studio recordings live was amazing to hear and see. They were so tight and I don't think they made a mistake, and the light show was awesome as well."

Spoon was awesome as always! Entertaining from beginning to end. LOVE the Lucifer on the Sofa songs! And the Roxian was a great venue!
I drove 280 miles each way alone and so glad I came. Spoon is awesome and the small theater was just perfect. They rock live!!!
I only really became a Spoon fan when Lucifer on the Sofa was released. I knew/liked some of their songs prior but i really dug into the whole catalog when that album came out. What a great band. The performance was excellent. I missed them last time through town but it seems they had PA issues so maybe I'm not too upset for not going to that one. I'm not an audiophile so the sound was fine to me. Performance was great and they played a lot of my favorite songs. Again, excellent show! Thanks for coming through Pittsburgh! I hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
Sang, danced, worth it! The 3 hour ride was worth it
Backup band was awful. But so what. Spoon only played for 70 minutes which made me feel cheated. that said i really like their music
Simply awesome - always, always so good! The Toronto show had so much energy, musicianship and great on-stage vibe. Do not miss them!
Spoon is amazing. First time seeing them and hopefully not the last, what an engaging show, incredible musicianship, a must-see.
Always love a Saturday night show, especially when it involves one of the most polished acts finally getting some love. “A Giant Dog” opened and won us over one song at a time. Then came the main dish, Spoon delivered a raucous, finely tuned masterclass of a performance. Even if I hadn’t known most of their setlist, I would’ve still been blown away! Seeing them get the Boise Love they so deserved was a breath of fresh air! Amazing show through and through! Thanks for the memories
We had an amazing time seeing Spoon at the Knitting Factory- Boise! The band was on fire and played a 20 song set - the crowd was fired up - and the venue was perfect! Wish I could swing Red Rocks this week for Revivalists + Spoon
Great show but over by 9:00?? It’s called the 9:30 club…They/you should have been much clearer about Spoon starting at 7:30 promptly and that it had to end by 9 because a totally different concert started at 10 and you had to clear the venue.
