Literally always a Great Show forty years and counting, catch them while you still can!
Great Shomanship!!! Really amazing performances and musical talent.
SCOTS is the perfect combination of talent and fun. Great songs, great musicians and great energy. The woggles were a fun opening act, as well. Brooklyn Bowl is also an amazing venue. Drink prices are a bit ridiculous, but that just encourages more H2O consumption - and they have big easy to access self-serve water coolers out there.
The evening started with the Moogles who were high energy and great sound. They really got the audience going. then SCOTS came on and the Guitar licks were phenomenal. Songs were rocking and it was prefect. Hope they come back through soon.
191 Toole in Tucson -- amazing show! Fantastic set list, great energy, great sound, great crowd. Had an absolute blast. Highly, highly recommend catching them when you can.
It had been quite a few years since I have had a chance to see SCOTS, as I live in Australia now. The band were red hot. Furious solos from Rick, and a tight groove from Mary and Dave. The harmonies were tight as well sounding better then ever. They played an extra long set with the same energy level at the end as at the start. The opening act Emily Rose was a pleasant surprise of smooth alt-country with exceptional pedal steel and tight harmonies.
The Get Down Band (opening act) was a pleasant surprise… Really enjoyed their surf music.. SCOTS lived up to and even exceeded my expectations.. Very talented trio!
I’ve been going to SCOTS concerts for thirty years when they are in St Louis. I didn’t experience the energy I was expecting to see or feel. They seem a bit tired with little to no enthusiasm they once had. Additionally, Mary had to keep asking the Duck-room staff to adjust the lighting to the stage. At one time the lighting went completely off for a few seconds. They didn’t even perform one of their signature songs, “Eight piece box” where they throw chicken out to the audience. They had the chicken out and ready to go, just ended the show with passing the box around and not performing the song. They did perform some of their best songs, that was good. But overall a very underwhelming experience for me this time. With that said, I may not see them again with the show trending downwards at it is. For others, I hope they find a way to bring back the energy they once had, long ago.
More fun than we had all year! Bands an old favorite!!!
