Smash Into Pieces on Tour
Swedish rock band Smash Into Pieces are adept at blending hard rock, EDM and emo punk. They're also known for their explosive live performances and sci-fi aesthetic, including a drummer who wears a robotic mask and goes by the name "Apocalypse DJ." Smash Into Pieces released their debut album Unbreakable in 2013 and quickly gained attention for their bombastic sound.
Comprising vocalist Chris Adam Hedman S?rbye, guitarists Benjamin Jennebo and Per Bergquist, bassist Viktor Vidlund, and drummer Isak Snow, Smash Into Pieces were 2023 finalists in the renowned Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, which determines Sweden's representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. They performed their anthemic single "Six Feet Under," which vocalist Hedman S?rbye has said is about experiencing depression and feelings of inadequacy. The song ultimately conveys a message of hope, reminding the listener that things will get better.
In April 2013, the band signed a record deal with Scandinavian rock and metal label Gain Music Entertainment/Sony Music to release their debut album, Unbreakable. They've since toured throughout the world, amassing a loyal fanbase across their native Sweden, as well as in the U.K., U.S. and beyond.
Smash Into Pieces Live in Concert
Smash Into Pieces formed in ?rebro, Sweden in 2008 when guitarist Benjamin Jennebo and drummer Isak Snow began jamming together. Vocalist Chris Adam Hedman S?rbye, bassist Viktor Vidlund and guitarist Per Bergquist joined the group soon after, and the band played their first gigs in local pubs.
The rising act quickly gained national recognition and reached the semifinals of "Talang," the Swedish version of the "Got Talent" TV series, in 2009, but reportedly dropped out to sign a record deal with Ninetone Records. The deal disintegrated after the release of only one single, "Fading," but the group found a new label home with Gain Music Entertainment, under Sony Music, in 2013.
Smash Into Pieces have since reinvigorated their sound, incorporating keyboard and electronic elements into their hardcore melodic rock and appealing to an even wider audience. The bandmembers are also open about mental health issues; vocalist Hedman S?rbye notes that their 2023 single, "Six Feet Under," chronicles his battle with depression.

Great show. Please bring them back. Had a great time. Perfect environment. Friendly staff.
Smash into Pieces is a great band with a lot of great energy. I cannot wait formthem to come back. We will definitely see them any time they are in our local commuting (2 hour drive) time.
SIP puts on a good show. Being a lessor known band in the states they generally do small/medium venues. This was my 2nd time seeing them live and as long as they keep coming back so will I. Can’t wait for the next tour. If you’ve never heard of them, check them out. They are kind of a combination of hard rock/pop Chris’s vocal range is great. From a smooth falsetto down to a deep growl.
Absolutely hands down, the best experience I've had. Everything was great, from the venue to the performance.
The band was great. The interaction was good. The songs and sound were just as you would expect. It was a great night.
Cool small intimate show. Got to meet a few band members but the illusive APOC didn't hang out after the show. Till next time international man of mystery.
This was my first metal concert, and the first time I've ever gone to a concert alone. I had an absolutely amazing time. Smash Into Pieces and Versus Me were as amazing in person as they seem. The positive energy they put out and the warmth they put into their music was phenomenal. The crowd was energetic, happy, and excited, and both bands really ramped that up. I cannot recommend either of these bands enough. They rocked even a very small venue extremely hard and gave their all for us. Both bands played their hearts out, and they did such an amazing job.
Absolutely amazing show! Will hand down be seeing them! The VIP experience was just as amazing! The band is super down to earth and very personal for to the fans! Will be going back to see them when they go on tour again!!
Not only are their albums fantastic, but their live performances are just as great! I was at the 2024 New Haven CT show and got to meet them afterward. I can verify they truly love their fans and are just as gracious in person ? Go to see them when they come to your area. You won't regret it! edit: We went up to their Boston show the next weekend to see them again because we loved them so much. The second concert was even better!
Smash into pieces was amazing! They had an incredible stage presence. They had upgraded their equipment since last time and so it was such a spectacular display. They are very talented and so kind. They came out after the show to greet people which I think is so cool!
