Billing themselves as a "working man's country band," Mike and the Moonpies have been touring road warriors for more than a decade. Flying the flag of down-home Texas music in several countries around the world, the Austin-based band dons their 10-gallon hats and cowboy boots to deliver their feel-good brand of music.

Natural born storytellers, Mike and the Moonpies often use their lyrics to convey the plight of the average working man, with tracks like "Paycheck to Paycheck." Led by singer/songwriter Mike Harmeier, their music splits the difference between bluesy honky-tonk, '90s country and '70s Southern rock.

Their eighth studio album, One To Grow On, released in 2021, sees the band returning to their country roots. Promising their fans a soundtrack for the mid-week blues shot through with weekend energy, they don't disappoint. It's no surprise considering they played an average of 250 shows a year prior to the pandemic, honing their chops and winning over crowds with their irrepressible spirit and down-home charm. Mike and the Moonpies Live in Concert

Formed by singer/songwriter Mike Harmeier in 2007, Mike and the Moonpies began life as a cover band with more than 300 songs in their repertoire. They earned a reputation for being one of the best dancehall bands in all of Texas, and evolved to writing and recording their own music, beginning with the full-length album, The Real Country, in 2010.

Since then, Harmeier, who grew up in Texas influenced by country artists including George Strait, has led the band to release eight studio and live albums in the past 15 years while playing countless live shows and amassing fans around the globe.

When COVID-19 brought their touring schedule to a halt, Harmeier took advantage of the quiet time back home in Austin to return to the sound that launched the band's career on 2021's One to Grow On. The result is a concept album that revolves around a central character who's an average 9-to-5 working man. Harmeier realized after the writing process was done that the working man stands for him, his father and pretty much every guy he knows. Shooter Jennings makes a guest appearance on the album, and vocal harmonies are provided by Shiny Soul Sisters.
