Atlanta’s Sevendust is a metal band that perfectly melds thrash, classic metal, southern rock and soul together into a beautifully balanced yet brutally heavy modern metal mix. The quintet of Morgan Rose (drums), Vince Hornsby (bass), guitarists John Connolly and Clint Lowery (who rejoined the band in 2008) and frontman Lajon Witherspoon, released their ninth studio album, "Black Out The Sun," in 2013. The album hit the Billboard 200 charts at No. 18 and the Top Hard Music Albums Chart at No. 1. Hailed as a return to where it all began, "Black Out The Sun" has been compared to "Animosity" (2001), one of their most popular albums and the third studio album they released after forming in 1994. It also produced Sevendust’s Top Ten single, "Decay," which continues to grace playlists across the globe.
Boasting driving drums, smooth yet deep bass, heavy and melodic guitars and sweeping vocal melodies, Sevendust is possibly best known for their brutally energetic live performances. Fan favorite, Lajon Witherspoon, captures the crowd's attention early and never let’s go. It is evident from his huge smile that he loves what he is doing, and fans leave Sevendust concerts feeling loved by the band. The diversity and genuine talent of Sevendust shines through their live performances, which often include acoustic versions of their songs. However, the intensity never wanes, and the pits are as aggressive as any that bands like Lamb of God or Hatebreed can produce. Sevendust fans will always vie for tickets whenever Sevendust comes to their city.
After finishing headlining the From Death to Destiny Tour, with Asking Alexandria, All That Remains, For Today and Emmure, Sevendust plan to begin recording their first studio acoustic album. Fans and critics alike clearly see that Sevendust is a band that has it all and never disappoints.
This was a wonderful show. Sound quality was amazing
Sevendust never fails.. put on an amazing show and their energy and crowd engagement is unmatched. Was awesome to see them in such an intimate setting at the Ritz. They are a great group of dudes who really love music and always deliver.
Highly recommend for anyone to go see Sevendust they have an undeniable energy that effects the crowd in a way I haven’t seen before! Absolutely stoked I got to see them here at the Ritz because it’s such an intimate experience and you get to interact with the band members!
Sevendust was great, but the sound mixing was poor. Bass was way too heavy, drowning out the vocals and other instruments. This was pretty surprising as it hasn't been my experience seeing other shows at the venue, but this was disappointing.
Saw Sevendust at the Harrisburg Music and Arts Center on Friday, 9/20/24. 4 Bands total and all were great. Sevendust was spectacular and it was great to see them right in front of me at a small venue - loved it. The venue itself was a lot of fun and all the staff members were great - everyone was friendly and the lines for drinks kept moving. Would love to go back again!
Been wanting to see Sevendust for years now and they did not disappoint. And to go on tour with 10 Years was an amazing combination! The venue Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center was fantastic, not too small not too big, got to feel the energy from the bands. Definitely want to see them again, go to the venue again too. Absolutely great show.
Band was awesome venue great Great food and beverage service
Great sound. Friendly staff. Good location. Clean restrooms.
I loved 10 years it was awesome the venue was great and the staff was awesome I had the time of my life ??
Sevendust was awesome as usual, but the venue Empire Live in Albany NY was absolutely terrible. There are huge poles in the way of the stage, they had football playing on tv's attached to the poles. It's all 1 level so if you're short, you won't be able to see anything. At one point, there was water dripping on our heads from an AC unit. At least the bathrooms were nice.
